Love the design of this item. Especially where you put the terra cotta disk. I had a cheaper version where you snap the disk under the lid in plastic prongs. Prongs eventually snap off and the disk ended up in my brown sugar.

This is a solution to my brown sugar getting hard in my air tight container. I put my hardened sugar in the container, installed the wetted insert, and it was back to normal with a couple of stirrings in two days.

Works as described. The build quality is good enough. One annoying design defect is that there is no tab to leverage against to open the top. You basically have to pull on the hinged latch,which will probably cause that to fail at some point. The little ceramic humidifier part works well also, but be careful not to soak it too much as it creates a little too much moisture. But it does keep the brown sugar, nice and fresh and fluffy, which is why we got it.

I already have this item for my dark brown sugar that I've had for several years. It works so well that I bought another one for my light brown sugar. Just a tip to not have the brown sugar so high that it touches the terra cotta puck. It will harden the sugar that it touches.

This new design is much better than the older model, where the plastic disintegrated over time and would not hold the disc in place. Very happy with this new one.

Very expensive for what it was but very good quality does the job

This container keeps brown sugar from turning into a brick, and the clay piece makes packing sugar into a measuring cup very quick and easy. I have two of these, one for dark brown sugar and one for light brown sugar. I highly recommend this container. Before this, I used a clay bear in a jar and I didn't like the bear touching the sugar. The clay tamper of this has its own place so there is no direct contact with the sugar.

Wish it was a larger size as it doesn’t hold a full package of brown sugar.
