A breathalyzer is not something that you want to risk being inaccurate, however, this product will not let you down. The instructions were very clear, and as long as you follow them, you will not have any problems. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable breathalyzer that is reliable and accurate! Have had this for 6 months now and could not be happier.

For the price this is a good product. This breathalyzer is very easy to use, and seems reliable and accurate. As others have said, you do have to wait the 20 minutes without eating or drinking anything to get accurate readings. I like that it is small and compact as well. This is great to check if you are impaired so you can be safe and others on the road as well.

When I saw the price of this I figured it would give it a shot and it works better than I had anticipated. I did a few test runs and if you follow the instructions it seems pretty accurate. The main thing to get a accurate reading is wait until 20 minutes after your last drink to test or the reading will come out higher than it actually is. As for longevity the jury is out, as I have only used this 6 times or so but it seems to be a great glovebox addition to insure that you are being safe! Can't beat the price point either!

Very easy to use quick fast and accurate results

We had a party where someone else had brought their breathalizer - with this one shooting out .055 each time and theirs hitting .08 - .14. We had been drinking whiskey and beer all night. This device is not accurate and a hazard. Would not buy again - choosing the more popular brands is a better decision.

The reason I choose to headline my review "Breathalyzer for Dummies" is because I never had to use a breathalyzer before and did not have a clue on how to find one that would fit my purpose. I did a through search and came across this one. It was basic and slightly affordable. I did not want an instrument that would need a engineering degree to operate. I bought it for a family member that have been struggling with alcoholism for decades. I thought this approach would assist in keeping him accountable for his sobriety. Here's my opinion about the product: When I tested it, it took a minute or so for me to understand how to turn it on. I referred back to the manual. So, please keep it close by to refer back to. When the panel lit up with the current temperature, it signalled that it was on and ready. I had to hold the power button down a few times to get it to activate the breathalyzer mechanism. It had an accurate read out. I think it was a good investment and I would buy it again.

I got this mostly to just gauge how drunk I had gotten in an evening - never as a gauge for "should I be driving?" And good thing, because for the first year, it seemed to give accurate readings. But in the past month or so, the readings are, I am certain, too low. That is, I use it when I know I am drunk enough that I absolutely shouldn't be behind a wheel, and yet the device claims I am at .05 or even lower. In short, this has a short life expectancy for reliability.

This product is easy to use and seems to be very accurate unlike another one I had purchased. It is a valuable tool to let you know not to drive and also when you are getting to unhealthy alcohol levels.
