Steeper learning curve for younger kids
Beautiful bike! I loved its clean, classic lines and the fact that it can grow with my son, who is a good sized toddler. We purchased this after a ton of research on different models and chose this one for its quality. I liked the safety feature on the handle bars (the little rubber ends that keep hands from slipping off). I love the honeycomb rubber tires that will never go flat. And I love how it looks like a tiny version of an adult bike (sans pedals, of course). We added a little bell ($5 from local big box store and fit perfectly) just for kicks and he's even figured out how to ring the bell AS he's walking/running around on his bike - cutest thing ever!My son just turned 2 and received this bike for his birthday. He's a big, solid boy and wears 3T clothing tho is still thin enough he can fit into 18M-2T stuff. He is around 37" tall but with a long torso and short legs. It's taken him a couple weeks to get the hang of things, this mainly due to two things. First off, birthday morning, Daddy accidentally buckles Birthday Boy's chin skin into the helmet buckle ...so it was all over after that... And secondly, my son has a quick temper and is short on patience, which is kind of a must when you learn anything new. He comes by this naturally tho because I was getting annoyed and starting to think about exchanging the bike before it even arrived, ha.Why? Because this bike, beautiful and glossy tho it may be, is longer and heavier than other balance bikes on the market. This larger size therefore causes the bike to be harder to handle for younger kids even if they're bigger - even if a 2 year old is the size of a 3 or even 4 year old, he's still developmentally a 2 year old. Also, because it doesn't have a steering limiter thingy on its rather large handlebars, they can (and DO) freely swing about or twist around if you haven't got a good grip in precisely the right place. My toddler was getting furious trying to just get on his bike and I was getting frustrated because I felt I'd wasted my money..but finally, we started to figure things out. We didn't pressure him to ride the bike but left it standing propped up in the house where he could easily climb on himself if and when HE chose. And we watched some videos online of other kids riding their balance bikes and this has helped my son gain a little confidence and see how it's done. One last thing, it's taken a bit of trial and error on my part to get the seat the right height for my boy and had it too tall at first. Thankfully, the quick release makes it easy to move the seat up and down as needed. We do cloth diapers and he's still in the midst of potty training...so if he's wearing a bulky diaper, his inseam is less of course, but when he's wearing training pants he rides better. So if you happen to cloth diaper your very large child as I do, be aware that it'll make a difference in the ease of bike riding. :pOverall:Gorgeous and well designed! Good size and weight for bigger kids. Much steeper learning curve for younger kids (even if they're bigger sized). Heavier and bigger handlebars are more difficult for smaller kids to manage.Quick release seat makes height adjustment super easy. Will grow with your child!

Best Balance Bike
My husband thoroughly reviewed balance bikes for 2 weeks straight before settling on this one. We bought this balance bike for our 'petite' 2 1/2 year old daughter about a month ago. This was one of the very few balance bikes that offered a seat height low enough that we thought she would be able to use it right away and not struggle too much based on her inseam length and was one of the reasons we settled on this one. It turned out we had to raise the seat slightly so that her knees weren't bent too much when she touched the ground while sitting on the seat. It is perfect! The construction is well thought out for what and who would be using this bike. The handlebars are rubbery and easy to grip for tiny slippery hands. The seat is cushiony enough that her bottom won't get sore from riding it non-stop (she asks to ride this EVERYDAY). The tires are the best part - another reason we purchased this one. They are not the cheap made foam tires you find on most balance bikes that will wear out in a month of heavy riding, but rather honeycomb rubber that never require air - again perfect as any delay in her ability to ride this bike (to inflate tires) would certainly result in full blown tantrum. She rides on both pavement, concrete, grass, and dirt with no tire issues. It's sturdy in weight yet light enough that when she tires half-way around the neighborhood and no longer wants to ride it you can carry it one handed back home while pushing siblings in the stroller with the other hand. One of our best buys yet for our children.

... son has only used this) but so far so good. We got this for my son at 2
I can't compare this to other balance bikes (as my son has only used this) but so far so good. We got this for my son at 2.5 years old, but since he didn't weigh that much at the time (just under 30 lbs), this bike was probably just a little too heavy for him to maneuver. He was about 38.5 inches, with slightly longer torso then legs (but still wearing some 3T pants). When the weather got nicer, around 33 months (March in NYC), we pulled it back up again, and we had to adjust the seat and handlebars by at least an inch, and we found that he was stronger and able to maneuver the bike much easier this time. We live in a crowded urban area with busy sidewalks and not much park space (we have a "park" that is crowded and mostly paved concrete) but he is loving it, cruising up and down streets. He mostly uses it get places to the playground. If you want your young and smaller toddler to learn to ride a balance bike, this isn't the bike for you. I'd consider one of the cheaper wooden "hipstery" bikes that kids as young as 2 can easily handle. But if you want something well built, and perhaps able to last through more than one kid, this is the better option. (I am currently pregnant I hope that the second one will be able to learn on this, too!)

Great, well-made bike!
I have bought 2 of these bikes - one for a close friend who's son was 2 and another for a niece who was also 2. Overall, these bikes are great. They are very sturdy, well made, and will certainly last for years. Assembly was super easy - we just rotated the handle bars around, quick-adjusted the seat and we were good to go!Some other reviews have mentioned that the bike was too tall for their child and their legs were not long enough yet. I found with both of my 2 year olds that the bike was perfect. For the boy, we put the seat to the lowest setting and it was fine for him. For my niece, we actually had to raise the seat up (she's tall for a 2 yo). The biggest hang up at this age came from the weight of the bike. The boy needed assistance and was not quite strong enough to hold it up on his own. My niece was able to hold it up fine on her own and walk around with it. She just needed help in picking the bike up when it was on it's side on the ground. After a couple days, my niece was getting much more comfortable with the bike and I'm sure that she will soon be whizzing around. I will see her again in about 8 months when she is almost 3 yo, so I'll be sure to provide an update.I would not hesitate to buy this bike again for another toddler.

We love it! Lightweight, adjustable, pretty!
My two and a half year old and I love this bike! It is so well built. It's light enough that she can pick it up (she does a tough man show when she does but she can manage).

Sturdy and fun to ride
This balance bike is well made and sturdy. The tires are wide and it's the right size for a toddler. My grandson will use this for several years until he's ready for pedals.

Great bike and great customer service!!
Giving it 5 stars even though the spokes on the front tire were loose when we got it, because I filled out their form online and they sent out a new wheel the same day!

Love this!
Love this! I got this for my 5yr old autistic son. He doesn't understand pedals yet. I was worried this would be too small but, with the adjustable seat & handle-bars, it's...

Awesome, sturdy bike
Awesome, sturdy bike. It's also a bit bigger than other balance bikes, so kids won't grow out of it so fast.
