Prunotto produces lime blossom honey with hives flowering near lime trees in the Langhe and Roero. The nectar collected is very aromatic. It is normally crystallized. The color is clear, with bright yellow hue. The smell and aroma are very typical: the scent reminiscent of flowers only in the pure, natural honey. The aroma, to most people, reminiscent of mint, the smell "pharmacy," or the flavor of fresh nuts: it is very persistent. Its color is honey and mellow amber. Taste profile: includes a mixture of mint, thyme, oregano and tarragon aromatics. Pairing: fresh fruit, cheese, breakfast. Mariangela Prunotto has been organically farming in the Piedmont region for over 20 years. They produce a wide variety of products including, jams, honey, legumes, fruits, and sauces, and is powered with solar energy. Prunotto practices nomad beekeeping, where hives are moved around depending on the available flowers and plants in bloom.
