I am dizzy - don't stare at your new lid too long - another winner from Giro
Giro makes good stuff. They are my go-to for shoes and this is my 4th Giro helmet. Mad did they stepped their game up with this helmet. It is really lightweight and is definitely the lightest helmet I own. This helmet is extremely well constructed so it feels far from cheap. The MIPS system is great and apparently helps protect your dome. The straps are very soft and the buckle is one of the ones that doesn't pinch your double chin, fatty! And the graphics - the graphics are absolutely insane! The design will mess with your eyes, so when you pass another racer tell them to look at your helmet and they will get dizzy and crash. This graphic had to be inspired by the WWII Dazzle paint they put on the ships to confuse the U-Boats. This is a good buy on a great helmet. Some of the other colors are cheaper if you're not picky but the Dazzle is awesome. Keep the rubber side down!!

Great helmet at a great price.
I have been using this helmet for several months now. It is the most comfortable bicycle helmet for me at an incredibly reasonable price for a MIPS helmet. I have had several people try it on and they were also impressed with the deep, secure fit. I highly recommend this helmet. I liked it so much, I got another in the black and white print.

Great helmet.
Comfortable and light weight. The MIPS system works great. It was easy to set the strap adjustment just right for the chin strap. The bright color helps to be seen by motorists. If you don't know your size you might want to try them on in a brick and mortar shop.

Does its foam-hat job fine. MIPS layer gets stuck in hair.
The Giro Savant is a helmet that I've stood by for a while. I've wrecked in a few of them while road and mountain biking and lived to tell the tale. They ventilate fine for a helmet in this price range. They are pretty adjustable: the size chart suggests that my 58cm or 59cm -ish head is on the edge between Medium and Large, but I can actually fit into the Medium okay with or without a cycling cap, even with my weird head shape (relatively narrow, large occipital protusion). If you want to know about MIPS, you can go read the research from someone who knows what they're talking about, but I was convinced (as someone who wrecks and hits my head occasionally) that it was worth a few extra bucks, even if it's just artificial peace of mind.Honestly, the loss of one star is mostly for the fact that the plastic MIPS layer inside the helmet gets caught in my hair SO BADLY. The problem is solved if I wear a cycling cap, but sometimes when it's really hot, I desperately want a bare head under the helmet. If you have short hair, this probably isn't a big deal, but I'm slightly worried that I'm going to pull my helmet off quickly one day and end up with a giant bald spot on the top of my head. Surely there's a way to design around this in future MIPS implementations?

Awesome!
I have always owned Giro helmets for my mountain bike. I like the fit and choice of a wide variety of colors, the only negative thing I have to say about the web site on Amazon is that they do not provide a size graph for sizing, only small/med/lg, I know I wear a medium but I had to go to the Giro web site to make sure the sizing hadn't changed. Other than that I am pleased with my purchase, it beat all the prices in my local area and had the color combination I was looking for.

Crash Tested
New Helmet is a replacement of the same helmet due to a crash. Saved my Dome from any damage. I really like the fit, air flow, and looks of the helmet.

If it's time to replace your helmet, get a MIPS. You can't go wrong with this one.
This is a very comfortable helmet that doesn't look big and bulky like some MIPS helmets can. The band that goes around the head feels more secure and comfortable than my previous helmets. One thing I noticed is that I cannot rub the forehead itch by wiggling the helmet back and forth. The helmet moves, but not the band.BTW: A family member was hit by a dog while riding at 20+, went down hard and was out for 45 minutes. He had just bought a MIPS helmet. He had no lasting effects and was riding within a couple of days. I don't think he would have fared as well with his regular helmet.

Great helmet
I recently fell and had to buy a new helmet. I absolutely loved this one previously so much that I got the exact same helmet (color and all). Prior to this type of helmet, I was getting a lot of headaches with biking, but this was much lighter, plus did a good job protecting my head with a mild crash. I highly recommend it.
