Nice DVI to Data Port converter.
This adapter works as designed. I needed a conversion from data port on new graphics card to dvi port on old big screen monitor. Works perfectly.

Good for getting an old monitor working with a new GPU
I have an old DVI monitor I use as a secondary. I used this to plug it into my new GPU via DP and it works.

Good Converter!
So, with nothing having DVI anymore, I needed something so I could plug my old Wacom into my new computer. Other converters seemed really pricy, but this did the job.. not only that its the first time that my wacom has been able to properly display its correct resolution. Not sure why, but I'll chock it up to this!

Perfect to add a 2nd monitor via Displayport (onboard Displayport or add-on card). Will not work for a third LCD (not active).
I use this to add a second LCD via DVI to Lenovo desktops that have a Displayport to go along with the standard VGA option, and for that, these work wonders. With a lot of the cheaper Displayport adapters, I've had to deal with a larger-than-expected number of duds or just poor build-quality, but these are well-made and I've had next to no issues with them going undetected when connected (a recurring theme with cheap Displayport adapters). The PC's I have this with use pretty standard chipsets from Intel (Lenovo E73) and AMD (Lenovo M79), so I would guess that this will work to add a second monitor to just about any PC with an onboard Displayport (or an add-on video card with Displayport).Please not that is *NOT* an active Displayport adapter, which is necessary if you're adding a third monitor by Displayport with Eyefinity. If you're doing that, you'll want to spring for an active one, which will cost you around $20, at least (anything a lot cheaper than that isn't going to do any active conversion, and won't work). If you simply want to add a second monitor using your PC's Displayport (whether onboard or via an add-on video card), then this will meet your needs.

Exactly what I needed...
I purchased a new motherboard with only a DisplayPort output for video. Of course I am getting a separate video card but in the meantime I used an old DVI monitor to test out my new hardware. I needed this adapter to connect the DisplayPort to DVI and it worked perfectly!
