LifeProof NÜÜD SERIES Waterproof Case for iPhone 7 Plus (ONLY) - Retail Packaging - MERMAID (SOFT MINT/TALISIDE TEAL/CLEAR)

OK, This case is beautifully designed for the iPhone 7+ and improves greatly on sound from the same manufacturers iPhone 6s+ case.The main reason I purchased this cover for my iPhone 7+ was for the same reason I purchased the same manufacturers cover for my iPhone 6s+. The '+' model of these phones are fairly large, and so I carry the camera in my left rear pants pocket. On more than 1 occasion, I typically get into my car and then realize I've got the phone in my rear pocket. It seems to me that it can flex quite a bit under that scenario, and yet I've had the 6s+ working flawlessly for almost 2 1/2 years without a cracked screen (or water damage),HOWEVER, the way I use my iPhone 7+ (which wasn't an issue with the case for the 6s+), 2 problems have materialized. One I was able to solve, the other I'll live with.The case fits so tightly (water-proofing is a good thing), it is very hard for me to toggle the POWER button (also referred to as Sleep/Wake). It now takes a strong hand grip on the phone so that an index finger can toggle that button. While it may be manageable now, when joint pain is a daily occurrence, it could be a more important annoyance.The 2nd issue pertains to the design of the case and the manner it seals the iPhone screen. IF YOU don't utilize the feature that allows you to access Control Center from within apps, then the issue doesn't apply to you ...I NEED to be able to swipe up from (off) the bottom of the screen so I can quickly access BRIGHTNESS control OR FLASHLIGHT feature, OR to quickly toggle AIRPLANE mode on/off ... etc. This case design, however, makes it nearly impossible for my size finger to perform the action. That's until I took the upper case, and carefully filed down the plastic (jeweler's file - very small). When you gently lay a finger across the plastic edge case (where the bottom of the iPhone screen will be), you can feel both the plastic edge and the manufacturers 'gasket' used to seal their case tp upi iPhone screen. I simply removed some of the plastic on the right side of the HOME button, to almost the gasket itself.That gave me just the little extra distance/space I needed to perform the action of swiping up from the bottom of the screen.Status of Warranty isn't an issue for me;1) I know nothing has been compromised (re-ran manufacturers water proofing test successfully)2) The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are rated as being IP67 splash, water and dust resistant under IEC standard 60529.That means the iPhone 7 can survive being submerged in just over three feet of water for up to 30 minutes. There is also fine print about “water.” Water doesn’t mean salt water, or other liquids, just fresh water and under “laboratory conditions.”

I have owned NUUD series cases for 2 iPhones and multiple Samsung phonesThis case is by far the most clear in sound quality.I have had no distortion in the sound of inbound calls and have asked repeatedly for people to rate the quality of my voice ( they think I'm nutty) but say it's crystal clearI think the change to cutting the speaker holes directly in front ( in front of the mouth) was a huge improvement in this designI can hear people perfectly on speakerI can hear music clearly on speakerAnother huge improvement was the charge port door .. no more breaking a nail to open the thing !!! Super easy!The completely clear back looks beautiful!! The beauty of this phone was a huge selling point! Awesome that you can fully show it off! Other reviewers complaining about fingerprints... ummm.... wash your greasy paws or use the free microfiber cloth Lifeproof gives you, your jeans or shirt if you can't control your greaseI wouldn't say this case is big. It's a case....It's lifeproof ... as in,it protects your phone from life ... not sitting on a table on display. Has anyone every looked at a bulky freaking otterbox??? Those things are huge and sticky and gross... and don't protect your phone from umm life.This is smooth..it's light.. pretty freaking small compared to most protective cases.. slides easily in and out of your pocket or purse or what have you.. doesn't collect gunk like silicone cases do.. I don't know what people are complaining about.I would highly recommend this case to everyone!!!!!!!!!

Well I love it. Reviews are all over the place on this one. I bought the LifeProof for my sons new phone because his old phone went through the washer in a LifeProof and still worked. He instead I bought him another LifeProof when we upgraded phones. I bought my old standby otter, but the color was light pink and looks filthy after a few weeks. I ordered this and was nervous it was a knock off because of the price difference. I paid a lot more for my sons at a local store. This arrived in original package and is authentic. I have dropped my phone a few times from standing height, no issues. Audio on watching video is definitely impacted, it's not nearly as nice sounds as it is without the cover. I have had no complaints when talking to others. The volume button is stiff, but not what I would call hard to use. I love the color and the feel of this in my hand. The port flap has not broken off for me, I'm pretty gentle with it. My 16 year old is not so much and his is still hanging on as well. I do not do water sports, so I have no clue if the waterproofing will hold up or not. If I ever have an oops moment I'll update.

I love the waterproof aspect of this case! I love being able to come home from my nursing job and scrub down my phone. I have no fears of bringing home germs or ruining my phone by thoroughly cleaning it. I’ve dropped this case a couple of times and my phone hasn’t even been scratched. The only downsides to this case is the fingerprint reader doesn’t work reliably and the sound is muffled when talking on the phone. While they’re inconvenient, I’d rather deal with those two things than not be able to clean my phone well. I just type my passcode and then use bluetooth earbuds when talking in the phone.

Always used lifeproof for my phones. Love the products and the warranty. Never had any leaking issues.

I received an opened package and the product had been used before; I guess it got bought once and returned because it is NOT WATERPROOF. I tested and water got inside the case. The only reason I’m not returning it is because I desperately need a protective case, but I am not happy with it.

It’s a perfect fit for the phone and the drop proof is so amazing...!

I purchased this product for my vacation at Burning Man, Black Rock City, NV. Aug/Sept 2018. If you are not familiar with Burning Man (research it), this is the dustiest experience you'll ever have! The dust is 3 times 'smaller' than baby powder/talcum. I am pleased to report that this cell phone case did indeed live up to it being dust proof. Note that it does not come with a screen protector, this is a separate item to purchase should you wish to have your screen covered. My screen was original and also survived with no new scratches. The case itself gets dirt covered and loses its original pretty colour, but it is doing its job. The thumb touch ID did stop working as dust got in the way, but it was an ok thing to deal with all things considered. I was only using the phone for video/photo, which is a quick swipe away. At the end of my trip, I took my phone out and it was 99% dust free. The littlest particle did get in, but so minimal. Can't complain.I say yes to this product. It is dust proof. Too bulky for daily use. But worked great for Burning Man!
