Macroblade 84 ABT W addresses the biggest concern of most skaters...how can I stop? The ABT brake system provides control and stability for new skaters who need a little extra confidence and support when stopping. Traditional brakes work very well but can be challenging for some to use. Skaters have to lift their toes up on the braking skate and roll on just a few of the wheels which creates some potential balance or fear issues. ABT on the other hand is cuff activated and allows the skater to slide their braking foot forward with all eight wheels on the ground adding stability and enhancing balance during the braking process. This results in a smooth, gradual braking motion which instills more confidence in the skater. ABT is also height adjustable so as the brake pad wears down, it can be lowered to enable the foot to slide forward the same distance every time for consistent stopping power and technique. The ABT system comes on the right skate but can be switched to the left one. Using the brake will be easy and comfortable because the Macroblade boot will blanket the feet in comfort and the wheel/bearing set is ideal for skaters to have the right amount of speed and control without going too fast.

Good beginner skate sizing can be tricky
This is a great skate but not for me. I had the bravo blades back in the day with the abt brake system. I loved those skates. The brake system was great. I loved that going down steep hills I could just slide my foot forward to slow down. I ordered this skate because it seemed to be the 2019 version of the 90’s bravo blade. The wheels are great. Bigger wheels that go fast and smooth. Braking system is also great. The boot did not work for me. I followed the size chart which put me in a size 7. I should have just gone with my sneaker size which is a size 8. My toes were at the top not smashed but annoying because the top is hard. The boot itself was also narrow for me and I don’t have a wide foot. Kinda pushed my baby toes in. The top buckle hardly fit. I almost returned it for the next size up but didn’t. I do have wide calves and was afraid that the top buckle would still be to tight. So exchanged them for the RB cruiser which apparently is the widest skate roller blade makes. It also has the molded boot that the bravo blades had. A little more supportive and tougher than the Macroblade skate. It doesn’t have the abt brake system but that’s ok. Hopefully it will be the boot I’m looking for. The macro blade wheels are a nice hardness for outdoor skating . I have a feeling I will need to replace the RB cruisers wheels but hopefully a better boot for a wide calf, intermediate outdoor skater.

Easy to use
First, the sizing was true to my regular shoe size. Sizing is always difficult when it comes to skates and skis and things like that, but I like the sizing on these. I can tighten them up with the laces to where they feel snug. Then I can make them even tighter after skating for awhile, or I can loose them easily. I like the laces much more than I liked the kind of plastic buckle thing that I had on my roller blades when I was a kid. Laces are a little more of a pain to mess with but the fit is so much better. And, laces take much longer to wear out and break, but I feel like plastic buckles break more easily when you try to make the fit tighter.Next the color. I do not love or hate the way they look. Something about roller blades apparently makes designers want to use neon colors like we are living in the 1980's but that is fine. You probably will not wear these to a fancy ball so it should not be a problem for you there.I like the wheels that come with the roller blades. Maybe they could be better but I am not a serious skater so I do not know. I notice zero problems with them. The break seems to be good. I use it often but I am trying to rely on it less.Lastly, the most important part is how the roller blades feel over-all. They feel light and easy to use for me. They also feel sturdy and feel like they were built to last. I hope to use them for fun and exercise for many weekends to come. I am happy I bought them.

The most fun full body exercise:)
I am a size 6 in shoes and got the 6 1/2 in these. They are a half a size too big but I'm happy with it because the toes are hard so I will fill the space with memory foam. These are fast, smooth, and very fun! My 3 and 4 year old kids love that I'm riding these now instead of walking along with them on bike/scooter rides. I'm still getting the hang of them because I'm 23 and haven't had rollerblades in 15 years but I'm catching on fast, I think these were a good choice. I feel like these would be good for experienced skaters as well. I suggest watching the "how to use abt brakes" on Youtube. I would also like to point out (incase anyone else will be riding these in their house) that hair can get twisted around the baring's (in by the wheels) so keep an eye out for that and use a tweezers to get it out if you don't want to take the wheels off. Be safe and have fun everyone!

Very good skate
I’m an 8-8.5 and I bought a size 8! It fits just right but it’s a little snug around the ankles (I have a wider calf) but no biggie! If you want extra room for thicker socks I’d go the 8.5 route. I ended up taking the brake off indefinitely so I had more flexibility. It was very easy to take the brake off with a smaller hex key! I did a lot of research before buying a pair that I like with good reviews and this one was just right for me. I tested them up and down my road and overall it was a smooth ride. It’s daunting that most sport stores don’t sell blades to try on in person since they all have weird sizes but I got lucky with these.

Great looking skates
The colors are vibrant and beautiful. I had a hard time picking out a size...I range from 6-6.5 and have very narrow feet. I read all reviews & measured my foot according to their website, I ended up going with the 6 and they’re pretty perfect. I did buy skating socks to make sure I got the right fit..the front of the skate is hard near the toes but not bothersome as I was afraid of, and I believe the half a size up would’ve been too loose. If u are hoping to get the skates sooner rather than later I suggest paying extra for the shipping..I chose the free shipping option & waited a full 2 weeks before they arrived.

Loved these!!!!!
I honestly loved these rollerblades. The ABT brake system is the easiest I’ve ever used. The wheels are 84mm so they are big and it’s easier to maintain faster speed. Maneuverability is not as good if you want to do jumps, slalom or other tricks. Since I only do street rollerblading over long distances, these inline skates were perfect for me.

Fun!
Wow..these are fun! I feel like I'm 20 again! I bought these specifically because of Rollerblade's excellent reputation and the ABT breaking system. I had a pair of Rollerblades years ago and they had the typical brake. I prefer the ABT brake. Returning to skating after all these years, it feels safer to me. They are very comfortable. I wear a size 9 women's shoe and these are a 9, fits great.

Great for Beginners
Not only are the skates beautiful, they really helped me gain confidence as a brand new skater. They fit me perfectly. I ordered my sneaker size (US 9) instead of the 8.5 that was recommended after measuring my foot and using the conversion chat on the site. I'll definitely keep this brand in mind for future purchases.
