GitzoGS5370C Square Aluminum Quick Release Plate for Series 1-5 - Type C,Gray

Although pictured with a 3/8" thumbscrew it also comes with a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter insert (screw this into the QR plate from the top until it is flush with the bottom of the plate) and a 1/4" thumbscrew which you screw in from the bottom.It's an expensive convenience to be able to leave it always attached to a camera or lens.

I had been looking for another QR plate for my Davis & Sanford FX12 tripod - the QR plate was out of stock in the major photo stores. So am very pleased to find this one that fit the tripod! I just had to change screw size.

I needed another one of these to add to my Canon 70-200mm zoom lens, since the first is always mounted the my camera body. This is exactly like the one that came with the Gitzo head, which is what I wanted.One note though - if, like me, you need the smaller screw size, this is included, but it's buried deep in the bag. I overlooked it twice, as I was searching for it. So it's there, in the tiny bag this came in, but it's easy to overlook it.

Fits Gitzo Bubble ball head perfectly - same as the original. I needed an extra on for 70-200 mm lens.This is the 1 and three quarter inch model not the small one and a half inch.Good price.

If you need a QR plate that is suitable for a small camera and you want one that is truly compatible, this plate works well.

Item is listed as 1.5" square but is really 1.75" square and did not fit my tripod. Had to return it.
