AR500 Armor Testudo Plate Carrier Gen 2 (Multicam)

The media could not be loaded.  Coming from the much pricier Acelink, I prefer this model as it has the ability to securely accommodate side plates, protecting the thorax/abdomen/liver. Wake up people, It’s 2023, and crime is at an all time high, so why the heck not invest in your damn self even more given that we all only have 1 life to live.Moving forward, the Velcro and overall material is extremely durable while being stationary, walking, jogging, and even full on sprinting. This is taking into consideration that I have mine equipped with exactly 4 plates of 7.62mm APM2, the equivalent to NIJ IV, being able withstand 2 shots of 166-grain (10.8 g) .30-06 M2 AP armor-piercing bullets without penetration per plate (just don’t shoot me a 3rd time). If you know exactly how heavy these plates are, you know damn well the material to accommodate such plates need to be sturdy enough to hold 4 of these boron carbide/Spektra polyethylene fiber made life savers from slipping and flopping all over the place at full pace.On to my personal favorite, the adjustable straps. Altering the height of the front plate now makes for a seamless experience with zero hassle compared to my Skelton version Acelink plate carrier. In addition, there are 2 large and convenient pockets located both near the stomach and chest. Cell phones, bullets, SIG 15 rd magazines, pocket knives, wallets, keys; they all fit in both of these easily accessible pockets, all secured with grippy and durable (yet again) Velcro.I don’t need to provide any additional information on this unbiased review. Instead, I’m interested in ordering an additional plate carrier of this exact model but in a different color knowing that this company knows what heck they’re doing. 10/10 recommend to anyone who either has a front and back ballistic plate ready for use, or, all 4 for additional side preservation because your life is not only worth it, but 100% dependent on it when you absolutely need it.

this is a real vest not a cheap airsoft one unlike most on amazon and hey it even fits average sizes (im 5'9" 34 waist 40 chest) unlike others that are 36w and up or worse it easily fits 10x12 ceramics and 6x6 side plates btw all 4 are in the vest at the time of the pic i posted its well made and comfortable I got the wrong kangaroo pouch however the velcro alone seems strong enough to hold it but id get the kangaroo one from the ar500 site or get a pouch with mollie the only small thing I'd change is the buckles on the backside of the shoulder straps imo I'd rather them on frontside but it does help hold back plate up in the right spot so no biggie ok to wrap it up if youre average size id skip the $80- $100 plate carriers and get this and you can get the black green or tan for $180 thats $50 cheaper that this camo one p.s. if this is still not in your budget or you don't need side plates get the testudo light for $142 or if must get a cheap one get id look at the onetigris for $100

This was my first experience with ar500 products, so I didn't know how the quality would be for its price. But the quality, fit and finish are better than I was expecting. When fully loaded out it is extremely comfortable and it arrived very fast.

The materials used are of high quality, very sturdy product holds the chest plates very well and most of all it fits me perfectly.

I’m very happy with the vest so far. I’m a very large guy and I wish the Cumberbund was larger. Great budget option
