Very nice and useful for baking

This item works surprisingly well. Cake layers bake up smoothly and even. Would use again.

With the strips, the cake layers come out as flat as Kansas, and unbelievably even. I looked at the pics by reviewers of other cake strip brands available. Their layers looked flatter than a normal, domed layer, but not nearly as flat as these Wilton. However, it takes way too much effort to apply and adjust the strip to the pan once wet. Even after fitting the size to the pan dry, then soaking, the strip naturally re-adjusts with water saturation. Since there's wet friction, tightening them through the cloth belt-loops takes a herculean effort. When moving the cake batter-filled pan to the oven rack, the strip can easily fall off since it's very hard to get them tight enough. I wish they had velcro closures. I've used the foil wrap with wet paper towel-enclosed technique, which is a tremendously wasteful and not as effective. But, it's also not as vexing. So, this is a mixed review. Ultimately, I love the result, hate the application. I'll try the brand with velcro closure to see if it delivers the same flat result.

These baking strips work just as advertised. Easy to use and great value for the money. Just soak in water for 5 min., wring out and place around baking pan. My cakes came out level and looking like a professional baked them.
