Seidio HLBB9900AS Spring-Clip Holster for Non - Cased BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 - Retail Packaging - Black

I have had this case for about a week and it seems to be working fine. The Bold does not go in and out of this holster as easily as my last phone, but the case is well constructed and holds the phone very securely. This case does not make your phone go dormant like some others.9-21-12 Update: A good case while it lasted, but that wasn't that long. The spring on the top clip that holds the bb in the case broke yesterday. I may have unreasonable expectations for a $20 piece of plastic and metal spring, but I assumed it would last longer that 10 months.12-15-12: I bought the same Seidio case for my BB Bold 9900 and like it very much. Other cases on the market seem bulkier, and I really don't like the leather pouch style carrier. This one puts my phone to sleep when it's in the cradle and hopefully will last longer.

I was so excited to finally find this holster. It is perfect for what I wanted, something exactly like my 8330 curve holster but fits the 9930. (It fits perfectly.) However, it says clearly on the package "BlackBerry devices retain their sleeper function while in the holster." Maybe I don't understand what they are trying to say, but there is no magnet and my BlackBerry does not know it is in the holster. I use vibrate/quiet mode in holster so this one will not work out for me at all and I am sending it back.

I had perhaps 3 of these clips until moving over to a different model BlackBerry. And while I did actually like the clip quite a bit, I do think the product suffered from a shortened life due to being (somewhat) cheaply made. With some better quality control or just care it could have easily been a 5 star clip.

Good holster!Puts the phone to sleep like it should (perhaps a running change, that is why it doesn't work for other reviewers).Strong clips. Never worried about the phone falling out. And it looks great with the carbon fiber door and "Bold" logo facing outwards.The catch? The top of the clip marks up the metal bezel. Not a massive deal, just an fyi should it bother you.I rotate with an Otterbox Commuter (excellent if I'm worried about a rougher environment).

I have been using Seidio holsters for a long time now beginning with my first one with a Treo 650. Since then all my holsters have been from them. I have used their holsters for Treo 650, Treo 750, BB 8330, BB 9630, BB 9650, and BB 9700. All worked as described. My latest purchase is for my new BB 9930. Again, this is an excellent product. My holster does put my BB 9930 to sleep when I holster it. I'm not sure about the previous reviews but I know it does work on mine. Maybe Seidio fix this issue from the previous reviews. In any case, my Seidio holster works and fit exactly as described for my BB 9930.

Worked for about 3 months then the spring went on it. Bought another one, worked for a month and the spring went again. Believe it or not, bought another one and it went in less than a month.Bottom like, if you have a blackberry, you have a company phone. If you have a company phone, you are constantly pulling it in and out of your holster. This is not the holster you should be getting.

I was very happy with this holster - it was slim, prevented pocket dialing and did not bulge when clipped onto my waistband. Then, the clip broke making this completed useless. It seems like the clip is attached by a pin/spring mechanism and one end of the housing for the pin just disintegrated. For $23, I would expect more than 4 months! This is not the first case I have owned, in fact, my other cases are still in great condition. I needed this holster as I had upgraded my Blackberry and the old cases were not wide enough. Now, I have to fork out another $23 or find another one as the policy does not allow for a replacement/refund. I am definitely not happy.

Great product, but like many others, my clip broke after a few months of light use. I contacted Seido, and the mailed me a new one with no questions. Great customer service, but I am a bit leary about the durability.
