Lenmar Charger, EGG, 16-18 Hour OVERNIGHT, w/2 2000mAh NI-MH (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I like that it’s so compact and versatile. Great for travel. You can charge one or two batteries and both sizes, AAA and AA. As others have noted, it would be useful if there is an indication that the battery is fully charged.

I picked up this charger a year or two back and use it frequently. The compact size is perfect to just leave flat on my desk as a paperweight until I need it. The bottom folds down to fit the batteries and the plug flips down in back so you can insert it into the outlet. The batteries that came with it were of good quality. It is capable of charging either size AAA or AA batteries, though I find the AA batteries physically more cumbersome to get in and out. My favorite feature is the ability to charge either 1 or 2 batteries at the same time. I generally use one AAA battery at a time in my MP3 player so it is very convenient. My  other battery charger  can only handle sets of 2 at a time.My only complaint about the EGG is that while it has red lights to show you it is charging, there are no green lights to show when it's completed the charge. Mine came with no instructions as to how long you're supposed to charge a battery. I usually just leave it in overnight for 8-12 hours and that seems to work fine. The batteries are cool to the touch in the morning, so I assume it has to have a built in circuit to prevent over charging when the battery is full.Update 5/11/12--------------The product description seems to have changed, at least as of today, it now says 16-18 hour charger. When I bought it from the store there was no mention of that. It's seemed fine at about 12 hours on my AAA batteries which are almost exclusively what I charge, so either I'm undercharging them or the longer time covers AA which hold more energy and thus charge slower.I've had the EGG now, I guess three years or more and it's still working just great. I barely use the AA batteries that came with it, but they still worked fine in my camera when I used them a few days ago.
