Maracas Hand Percussion Rattles, Wooden Rumba Shaker Musical Instrument for Kids Adults, Set of 2

I am a retired professional musician with an excellent ear, and teach piano to children and adults. With my kid students, I use these alongside other percussion instruments, giving them a choice of which they would like to use (or mix together) when we learn rhythm skills. Then we compare the tone colors of each instrument, as part of ear training. I really like these, finding the sound bright yet pleasingly mellow, both at the same time. I respectfully disagree with other reviewers who say that the sound is not professional and is lacking. Exactly what I like about them is the very nice tone, and this is important to me, as professionally-trained musician. The colors are pleasingly bright, and so far they have not broken, cracked or shipped as kids have occasionally dropped them. Very nice maracas for such a fantastic price! Five stars! :-)

Cute as a button these maracas are!! They make a tad more noise than I was expecting, which is good because I did not expect them to be very loud. And there not loud, but they have an adequate sound, especially for kids. The look nicely made, nicely painted- the colors are very attractive, and they're kinda cheap- so that's nice!

Excellent quality, paint has not chipped even after being dropped several times. Good rich sound.

Nice, until it isn't. One of the them separated at the seem. I am going to try and fix it, but I am disappointed.

I play a keyboard at our Senior Apartment Complex and sometimes other residents play along. These are smaller than the ones I used to have and don't make as much noise, but we have fun with them. All the sites I found them on were charging the same price. I don't think they will fall apart and the gals have fun shaking them.

Looks good for the price, but they were purchased as a gift, so that's all I can share

Very cute. But unfortunately they appear more like toys - sound-wise and appearance too. For 3-year old - great . But for an older child in a classroom - this instrument needs to be a bit more professional-looking and tone quality as well — perhaps it should have more beads inside for a fuller sound.
