I purchased to avoid my providers monthly cost It seems to set up well AT FIRST but then the following problems happened:1) Using single ssid for dual-band only worked for a day or so, then it stopped and no devices worked until I separated 2.4ghz and 5ghz.2) I get a security warning in my browser when I try to log in to my router. Two emails to support has not told me how to fix this problem.3) The 5ghz seems to freeze at times4) Time zone don't have an auto nor does it have a daylight savings time setting. You have to go in and change it yourself.

Used it to create a separate network to connect IOT devices to at a conference. Worked great for that.

I don't know where to start but know where to end. I cannot recommend this device. I replaced my Apple Airport with this seemingly well-deigned product. I was sold by the advertised speed, exterior package, interior cooling and hidden antennas. I liked the user interface too. Controlling it and other WiFi devices was relatively easy. After a year of owning, I can only say, pick something else. Wifi is great but DSL internet dropping is a major problem. I've had multiple ISP technicians say there's something wrong with the electronics. It drops incoming signal without reason and will not reconnect unless rebooted. Once rebooted the speed is very slow for 2-6 hours, then, without warning, changing or doing anything, it kicks up to expected DSL service speed (or I reboot it again). Problem was not on ISP's side. One good feature was the auto-reboot scheduler. User can set it up to reboot every 24 hours. I used it a lot. Fortunately I was able to get my Apple Airport router running so I could research a different replacement. Yes, an entire year. I'm an engineer, a persistent, insistent user that wanted to fix it rather than buy a different router. I won't get those hours back.

The WIFI speed is great but it reboots and has no error codes or information that is provided to the user on why. If connectivity is important, buy something else. Parental controls are a joke.
