Great Fresnel Screen for Daytime Viewing on a Medium Width Couch
The media could not be loaded. I am very impressed with their fresnel screen. A great deal for what you get. Ultra HD is beautiful. Remember to ignore the up sticker on the back of the screen and try it both ways to make sure you get the right angle. There are some folds ripples somehow, even though it was rolled. I expect those to be fixed with a later retightening on a warm day. As other reviewers noted, it's probably upside down if you heed the orientation stickers, or if it seems darker than you expected. You get about 60° of acceptable viewing from side to side, but you'll want to make the screen at eye level as much as possible, especially for daytime. It's the brightest at that point, and the most ambient light is rejected as well. As you can see in my video, more ambient light is reflected back to the viewer the farther below the screen's center you are at and the image is not as bright, either. Side windows will be reflected on the opposite side of the screen's lower corner as this is how the half-circle fresnel reflects. Having the screen lower will help, but viewing too far above center and you'll get a hotspot from the projector. We are about 12' from the screen. No major halo or hotspotting when sitting (1' - 2' below center) or standing (center eye level). Using Optoma CinemaX D2 on Game preset settings (not the game mode for faster response time, just color and brightness).

Worth It!
This is my first ALR screen using it with a Samsung UST. A bit surprised by the quality and functionality for this price point. I would recommend this for if you’re not looking to spend $1000+ for an ALR fixed frame tension screen with 0.6 gain. Well packaged and nice that they included a mini screw driver, leveler and extra parts. Highly recommend taking the extra time and patience putting this together so all the pieces line up properly. I wouldn’t use the drill template as it doesn’t seem accurate. Overall, it was easy enough to put together as long as you review the instructions, Wemax’s YouTube video and not rushing through it.Not sure how long it’ll last because I think the screen being pulled springs all around will give over time.

Horrific Instructions - No one has any idea how to use the lower brackets - The elephant in the room
The screen, once installed, is excellent and promises what it delivers, but it ends there. The installation instructions are very small print, and vague, and the illustrations are bogus. We had to resort to YouTube and videos on Amazon to know for sure. There's more - The parts are machined poorly, especially the back braces. The template tape is 100% useless, you will need to set up the projector and manually hold the frame without the screen to measure it properly. Finally, the lower brackets??? No clue. No one, anywhere, talks about them, knows how to use them, and no one mentions them at all. Enforce the top brackets with two extra screws and don't bother with the lower brackets. As we stated earlier, once you get the screen installed -- It's great. Did I mention we are professionals and had the right tools? To their credit, they did provide a remedial set of tools.Bottom line: (TLDR) Set aside 4 hours to assemble the screen and the poorly machined back panels, keep the delicate screen packed away and measure manually with the projector on and mark the wall (disregard the tape- useless), and don't bother with the bottom brackets - 100% no instructions on how they are used, and they make no sense, and only use the top brackets. - Be sure to use two people -If installations are not your thing, and even if it is your thing, consider another brand that's easier to assemble and mount, or be prepared to make tons of manual adjustments. To be fair, the screen is Excellent - Once installed.

Great and relatively affordable, poor customer service
Assembly wasn't hard. Installation was straight forward but probably need two people due to the size, and you must be accurate with your measurements and placement if using with a UST projector. The screen itself was great for a few months, nice and bright and sharp. Used with a UST laser projector I was very happy with it, until it started to degrade on its own. Little by little, a patch formed on the screen where you could see the rings of the screen from across the room, almost like the material was separating, and the patch grew over time, eventually covering the entire top half and right side of the screen.I reached out to customer service for a warranty claim, and they insisted I had scratched the screen, even though I showed them multiple times how there were zero marks when it was installed, and showed them pictures of the patch steadily growing bigger and bigger. They kept insisting I scratched it. I had it professionally installed, and it was flawless when mounted. After much back and forth lasting weeks, they eventually sent me a replacement. Just a screen with no frame. However, they sent me a lenticular (CLR) screen, not an ALR (Fresnel) screen. I bought and paid for a Fresnel screen. So, they replaced it, and the replacement at least has not degraded on its own, but they replaced it with a different, lower cost item, not what I paid for.You get what you pay for I suppose.

Unwatchable
First off, the instructions are horrible. It was a pain to assemble and mount. And when you mix the lack of an up arrows and the horrible results I assumed it was upside down. I purchased this for use with a Samsung Premier 4K UST. I used the projector on a tan wall for two weeks before receiving and installing this screen. The results are unwatchable - any dark screen appeared as pitch black. No amount of tweaking the Samsung settings could overcome this.

Nice projector screen
This screen was easy to put together and install on the wall. I don't understand some are claiming to be pros and had issues putting this together. why? well, you need to have some experience putting stuff together around the house, other than that it's well engineered and well worth the price. It may take you a few hours to install this screen. I did it by myself since my son thought that was a boring thing to do but definitely two people is the way to go.
