Worthless if Nikon considers the problem normal!
3/9/16 I was told today by the West Coast Nikon service center that Stuck Pixels and Hot Pixels on the image sensor are considered normal. I donโt consider this normal at all. What's the point of having a warranty if they won't address the complaint? Look at my review for the S9700. 3 times my camera went to the same West Coast repair center and it has never been right since the first repair. It's not worth the hassle of arguing with Nikon and the repair center at any price...even if they included this coverage for free. The picture I attached shows the stuck pixels. When I shoot a video in low light, these pixels stick out like a sore thumb and are very detracting. It may not be possible to see on the Amazon photo as you really need a full size monitor to see it. These specks weren't there prior to the first repair. Whether this is the result of a repair, I don't know...but it wasn't there before, so it is NOT normal!!I MUST also mention that the West Coast Service Center was a different one in 2012 that the original review (below) was based on. I previously had this at a 5 star based on value and repair result. The 1 star reflects the current 2015/2016 value-repair result with Lux tech.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I admit it, I was skeptical when I saw this Extended Service Coverage (ESC) for less than $2 when the same exact item goes for $49.99 directly through Nikon. I felt $2 was worth the gamble and going 3rd party for this 2-year Nikon Extended Warranty (purchased July 2010 for my $260 Coolpix S8000). May 2012, my S8000 started acting up with a mind of its own (apparently there are a lot of bad reviews cropping up with this issue)....so I had nothing to lose.In my case it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Purchasing from a 3rd party vendor played no factor other than price. I was at 22 months (out of a total of 36 months warranty) with my S8000, sent it in for repair (to the factory) and they took care of everything! Covered new parts(replaced Main PCB, replace Lens Unit, Adjust Autofocus), labor, cleaning and return shipping (I had to pay shipping to get it there). Mailed it to them May 29, got it back June 11. I couldn't be happier!!Doesn't matter who the seller is, they just need proof you bought extended coverage and that it's within the covered range.

GREAT STUFF!!!
It did just what it was supposed to do extend my warranty had camera all of 2 weeks then hand lens problem I did not have any confidence in sending things off for repair. I sent off for repair they contacted me stating that problem was covered and I had to pay nothing.

Doesn't cover newer Coolpix models, only older L,S, & P series.
Description (as of Sept 2014) doesn't make it clear that this warranty is only for L, S, and P series cameras. So if you bought a new AW120 Coolpix like me, this won't cover it.

2 year Extended Service
A outstanding value, 2 years of service coverage very inexpensive. I used the extended coverage for my P7000 when I had problems it worked very well. 20 more words required to save this review.

Yes! They honored the contract when I needed them.
The camera had a major problem about 18 months into the coverage and they honored it and fixed the camera back to 100%. I would use them again.
