My Honest Review
I purchased three wireless headsets on the dame day, July 11, 2017. That was after spending about 10 hours researching headsets. I purchased this one, the Phaiser BHS-760's, and the Jaybird X3's. I haven't received the Phaiser BHS model yet so I can't say anything about it. But for the Bluephonics and the Jaybirds I can make some comparisons. I have no vested interest in any of these products. I'm the average consumer trying to get the most bang for my buck. That's probably you too.First, I'm running a custom Android ROM Lollipop v 5.11 Resurrection Remix on a rooted Galaxy Note 3.BLUETOOTH SETUP:The Bluephonics connected on the very first try. There was no delay what-so-ever. That made me smile. The Jaybird X3 had trouble connecting to the bluetooth. It took me 3 tries to connect but finally it did. I displayed a suttle frown.BUILD AND QUALITY:Both sets are equal as far as durability but I've only had them operational for 2 days so time will tell. I'm planning a 100 mile bicycle trip in November so that will be a better test in terms of which ones hold up better. I'll be running down the west coast of FL down to the keys so I'm sure the sweat and the rains I experience will be an adequate test. Both headsets are sturdy and are simple in design. As far as comfort they are also equal. The Jaybirds took a lot of trial and error to find the most comfortable ear piece and to get the fins to fit in my ear correctly. I messed around for a few hours just to get this right. The Bluephonics, on the other hand were real simple. After I figured out what piece went in what ear, it was as simple as putting them in my ear, pressing lightly and boom, they were set perfectly. I haven't used the foam buds with the Bluephonics but I will. I think they'll be more comfortable. The Jaybird comes with a little pouch to store your extra ear buds and ear fins. But there's not enough room for the headset. They should have made it at least 2" bigger. The Bluephonic has a sturdy case that also accommodates the extra ear buds AND the headset. They win here.SOUND QUALITY:Here is where I was surprised. Both units have what I consider good sound without spending hundreds of dallars. I don't consider one better than the other. They are different. What do I mean? The Bluephonics have a wider sound stage and a crisper sound. They tend to distort at extremely high volume. The Jaybirds have a much warmer sound with the sound fully being separated over all frequencies. Regardless of which one you like it's a personal preference. Tones seemed to be true to the original sound production of the music I played. The bass had more punch with the Bluephonics but not overpowering. The mids and highs were exceptionally crisp without tinniness. I played both m4a and mp3 music at 320 Kbs and I also listened to a few high quality FLACs. I have PowerAmp installed which has an excellent frequency equalizer and with the Bluephonics I didn't have to make one single adjustment. I kept a flat response curve. With the Jaybirds I made some adjustments to get the music to my liking. I installed but didn't use the MySound app that came with the Jaybird as PowerAmp has an excellent frequency equalizer as well as volume, tone adjustment and what they call SteroX.These units obviously have different drivers in them. The fidelity was high in both units. Listening to sound is like looking at art. Some will like one painting over another. The key point being that both units sound superb. It's a mater of your liking. I wouldn't hesitate on using either of these units as my daily headset. That is, as long as the call quality and microphone is good.PHONE CALL QUALITYCan't comment on this yet as I haven't received any calls! But this was an important reason for purchasing the 3 different headsets. I'm on calls most every day with my business so the call quality is critical. If they're equal in this respect you won't see me update my opinion. But if there IS a difference I'll update my review.CHARGING THE HEADSETThe Bluephonic comes with a micro SD port and a short dongle. You're warned not to use an electrical outlet to charge but I don't think it will make any difference as long as you have a charger that doesn't have too high amperage. I haven't found that number yet but I used a charger that delivers .75 amps. I'll find out the magic number as I don't want to degrade the battery life and from the other reviews I read this is what happens if you use too much current. I fully charged my unit until the light turned a warm blue. It took about an hour. The Jaybirds have their own proprietary charger "clip". It works fine but it's a pain in the arse. The dongle is only 4 inches of there abouts so that's a flunk. They could have made it 3' for ease of use. If I lose the charging clip it I can't charge my headset. So that's a BIG negative in my opinion. They could have just as easily made a standard micro charging port on one of the ear pieces. If you've only got one headset then you're screwed until you purchase a replacement. If they would have provided 2 or 3 additional clips as replacements with the original purchase I would have been much happier. I found the replacement on Jaybird's web site but didn't order it. It's not that expensive. So the Bluephonic wins for this fact. Both headsets are supposed to get about 8 hours on a full charge. I like loud music so I probably won't get the full number of hours but if I can get through a full day that's all I care. I put my headset on at the beginning of the day and it stays in my ears most of the day. I can't comment on battery life as I'm still running the headsets until the batteries expire.CONNECTIVITY AND DROPPED CONNECTIONSThe Jaybirds won here. I was able to go through 2 walls in my apartment without losing connection. The Bluephonic had trouble with the same distance going through the same 2 walls. Not a big deal for me as I usually have my phone sitting next to me while I work. So, the Bluephonic has my high approval. I hope it lasts forever as I know I'll use it. It's quite a bit cheaper than the Jaybird X3 and the build quality is just as good in my opinion.I'll still keep the Jaybird as I consider it to be excellent. I still have one more headset to try. If there are any catastrophes such as losing sound, broken wires, or if one goes on the bleep I'll edit my review.

An exception to the "you get what you pay for" rule, but in a very good way!
This is my "out-of-the-box, first impression" experience so far...OMG I LOVE THESE THINGS! I've had Plantronics, Jaybird, Beats, and a couple others that I can't remember. Besides not using any of them anymore, the one thing they all had in common was they just weren't loud enough for me. I use an iPhone 6s plus just let ya'll know...I get an email from Bluephonic before I even get the phones asking me to contact them directly if I have any problems, questions, etc. I guess this practice is normal now, but it still impresses me that they're aggressive enough to try and tackle any problems ASAP, not just sit back, say nothing, and wait for an email. In the box I got the case, some different sized ear pieces, micro usb, and a $10 coupon. Everything looked great, no scuffs or visible defects, no scratches or dents in the box. It's exactly what you should get when you buy something new. There was a time when that wouldn't be note worthy, but in these times what you see is not necessarily what you'll get.The book says it takes about 1.5 hours to fully charge, but mine were already charged. Following the instructions in the enclosed book, I had them synced in about 3 seconds. No glitches, nothing acting funny or strange. Just a quick pairing that was "uneventful". Again, not usually noteworthy IMHO. It's doing what it has been advertised to do. Still... When something works this flawlessly and fast... it's a nice experience.I fired-up AC/DC Have a Drink on Me, and slowly increased the volume... and increased the volume some more... some more... WOW! These are, hands-down & without a doubt the LOUDEST buds I've ever used. The sound remained clear, the Bass... meh, it could be better, but that might be just me being a "bass lover". Please understand that the bass is a personal preference for me. With that personal preference aside, I still say these are the best buds I've ever used or "heard".I use Bluetooth ear buds for one thing: the elliptical at the gym. When I get cranking on that machine, the enjoyment factor is directly related to the music. Song with a fast beat? I go faster. Slower beat? Up the resistance and go slower. I love using that machine when I've got my tunes blaring. What I do NOT love is ambient sound. I don't want to hear other folks talking, grunts when some lifts, etc. I want to hear music and nothing else. So far, these Wireless Sport Bluetooth Headphones fit the bill P E R F E C T L Y.I checked a lot of Amazon reviews before deciding to go with these phones. Even big-time names like Jaybird and Beats had severely mixed reviews (one was almost 50/50 5-star vs 1-star). AND they were very pricey! I was kinda concerned about the price and reviews these things were getting. I mean, on screen, these have everything & are the best. But that many praises, combined with an incredibly low price, usually makes me thing "you get what you pay for...". Well, I'm happy to 1 - be wrong about that, and 2 - say that I got a LOT more than I paid for. Completely surprised me how good these are so far...Lastly, you might be wondering why I keep saying "so far..". While I believe first impressions are important, I know that only time will attest to the true quality of an item. Using these things "in the wild" so to speak will surely uncover any problems they have. I've had great first impressions before, only to be burned after a while due to poor materials, poor construction, or borderline false advertising. I'd like to think I've learned my lesson. So, I'll be back to update this review in about 1 month. Hopefully I'll still be as happy then as I am now.But if you don't want to wait for an update from me, or you're sitting on the fence wondering whether you should buy them or not, I'd say buy them. My personal experience aside, they're only $50 (cheap compared to a lot of other big-time name brands). And if you don't like them, you can return them. But right now, I don't intend on returning them. Not even close. These are what I've been looking for for years and I can't wait to get to the gym :)ADDED 17 OCTOBER 2016Boy what a difference a few weeks can make! Unfortunately, like many others, my pair died 7 days after getting them. No funny sounds or connectivity issues, it just stopped in mid-song and would not charge or even turn on after that. When I ordered these I got an email from Blue Phonic saying (among other things) that if I have ANY problems, I should respond to that email before leaving any negative feed back. Their reason being they'd like a chance to fix whatever the problem is first I guess. So I took em at their word. I told them what had happened, that they were the best sounding phones I've ever heard, and that I believe in giving "new guys" a second chance (especially when their product is so good). The email exchange was kinda slow (I'd reply to them, their reply would come the next day, I'd reply to that and their reply would come the next day...), but boy did they come thru! They instructed me to buy another pair BUT they gave me a code for 100% off. I placed the order, and it went thru with no problems. It cost me zero, and they were shipped 2 day delivery (since I have Prime). Oddly enough, they didn't want their old pair back, so their weren't any problems with cross shipping. I kept the old pair's ear pieces, and the case just to store stuff in, and threw the rest out. The new pair showed up in 2 days as expected. The ONLY difference I could see was that the ear pieces on the new pair were red (the old pair they were black). When I ordered the first pair, I received an email from them a couple days after I got them. In it, Blue Phonic stated that the first time charging of the phone should be 3 hours. That may or may not have caused the problem, as I charged the first pair for only an hour or so (they arrived pre-charged, but I gave it an hour just to make sure I had enough juice).Getting that email a couple days AFTER I got the phones is something Blue Phonic should improve on. Either send the email immediately, or even better, put a note in the box that says something like "first time charge must be 2.5 to 3 hours". Only Blue Phonic knows just how important that first-time charge is, but if it's worth putting in an email at all then it's also worth making sure the customer knows to do it BEFORE they charge for an hour-only like I did.In any event, I have hade the second pair for just over a week (today is day 10), and I haven't had any problems (just like last time). I use them for 40 minutes a day on the elliptical, and charge them only once a week. They hold a charge, have no connectivity issues, and sound wonderful. STILL THE BEST SOUNDING PHONES I'VE EVER HAD. Louder than any others I've tried, and the bass is pretty good (could be better but isn't bad AT ALL).Blue Phonic also included a $10 gift card good for their site. It's only good for 45 days though, and the ONLY thing for sale on their site is the head phones I just bought at Amazon.I'd still recommend them, and for the same reasons previously stated. These are loud, clear, have decent Bass, and join to my iPhone quickly. Right now, and for me, these are the only phones that serve me well.However.... if these die as well.... I guess I'll be testing their professed desire to make sure I'm totally satisfied with the phones AGAIN. If/when that happens, rest assured I'll update this review again. And sorry for being so "wordy". I just tend to need a lot of words to get my point across to my own satisfaction..ADDED 19 OCTOBER 2016I don't even know if anybody is reading this stuff, but just in case...It's a good thing I have a positive attitude about stuff, otherwise I'd be ranting about these because THEY DIED THE DAY AFTER MY LAST EDIT OF THIS REVIEW! They died EXACTLY the same way as the first pair - in mid-song, no funny sounds or anything, they just stopped. And will not turn on, light up, recharge, or anything else. They just died.I noticed... after handling several different makes of headphones... that the little rubber "door" that closes the charging port is NOT very snug-fitting (at least, when compared to other makes/models of phones). I suspect that the damage is sweat-related, even though they say they are "sweat proof" or "moisture proof". I like the sound of these phones a lot, so I'll give them one more try BUT this time I'm gonna be a bit creative...When I get the next pair, I'm going to charge them like you're supposed to when they're just out-of-the-box. After doing that, I'm going to take a small piece of electric tape and cover the port completely. If the sweat is getting in thru the charge port (and therefore killing the phones), then covering that port should solve my problem. While this is a somewhat funky solution to the problem, if it works I'm ok with it. I only have to charge them once a week anyway, so messing around with tape once a week isn't a big deal to me.In any event, that's what I'm going to do and I'll report my findings (good or bad) back here.
