Lid not sealed
Disappointed. Product arrived in a box with no damage. Opened the box to find the lid was not properly sealed on the container. So much for the "10 year" shelf life.

great tasting and had to open to try it! I repackaged in a mylar bag and resealed with a new cover,,now it is a twenty five year storage pail!!

Bucket not properly sealed, contents spilled
I haven't tried eating this, but the bucket lid was not firmly sealed so some of the content had spilled out during shipping. I took the lid the rest of the way off, and it seemed like it was okay (fingers crossed) and repackaged the contents into bags and put them back into the cleaned bucket, sealing the lid properly (but with some effort---I think the lid was defective. Since I did all that, I can't just send it back for a replacement, so I'm going to hope it wasn't contaminated in some way---hopefully it wasn't an item that was opened and then returned by someone else after not being properly sealed. I don't think it was, but it still wasn't the most confidence-inspiring experience. I'd love a replacement, but since I have already repackaged everything my hands are tied.

OLD PRODUCT
I am very disappointed with Augason Farms Buttermilk Pancake Mix Emergency Food Storage 28 lb pail. In the product description it stated up to a 10 year shelf life. I received the product on 2/28/2020. When I opened the box the pail was filthy with dust. It stated on the pail that it was manufactured on Oct. 11, 2017 and good until Oct. 11, 2027. I have lost approximately 25% of the shelf life. I do not feel it is worth paying the price for an old product.
