Absolutely love it.
Somehow missed that this existed having really loved Blumenkraft and Skylon . In a way, it's more of the same. But when more of the same is a good as this, it's difficult to complain.Somehow, OTT knows *exactly* when to change a beat before things get old. It's interesting, relaxing, invigorating and there's always something new on each play though. Definitely a CD where the sum is greater than the parts. If Shpongle/Younger Brother really hits the spot for you, then this will too.Purchased Mir at the same time and have absolutely no complaints about that either.

Possibly his best album to date.
Possibly his best album to date, diverse, but flows beautifully. The fourth track 'Harwell Deckatron' needs a few listens but suits if you are listening to the whole album.

Why four stars? Well there is only one thing really wrong with this album and that is that it is not as good as Blumenkraft or Mir though is considerably better than Skylon. To find fault I would say that this album is just not as daring as I might have hoped it is not as radical as some of his earlier works.Mir felt like Blumenkraft had set off on a journey of spiritual self discovery but instead lost its passport and contracted an STD from a French girl in a dirty beach hut in Thailand. Mir was a dark and dirty surprise after the wafty sounds of Skylon, an unexpected but welcome surprise. Fairchildren is just a bit cosier more like Mir has returned home had a good dose of antibiotics and spent a few months in its slippers relaxing around the house and pottering in the garden. Nowt inherently wrong with it just wanted a bit more. The tracks delivered are good and Ott through and through and there is a kind of bringing together of the sounds from his various albums, but no track leaps out and demands you immediately played it again. That said Ott has set himself a very high bar as so much of his previous work is off such sublime quality.Something I love about Ott is that he delivers a new sound with every album and yet somehow it is still distinctively his own and original sound. If you're new to Ott then your lucky in that you have four albums before this one to catch-up on.

If you're new to Ott then I commiserate your lost time with out him in your ears. On the other hand, I envy you the supersonic journey on which you are about to embark for the first time.To those of you (really) out there that are familiar with the mans previous offerings, Blumenkraft, Skylon, and Mir, please prepare, one again, for teleportation to a very special place.
