Ordered this because I'd been using a charcoal/olive oil cleanser aimed at men at the same price, but I wanted to try other products and this was eligible for Subscribe and Save. The product is thicker than the one I'd been using and comes in a pump bottle, so nothing runs down the drain before I get a chance to use it. It also has a nice mild scent, which I'm told makes my neck smell good.This type of cleanser has been good for me because I have sensitive skin that tends to get oily by the end of the day and I'm trying not to dry it too much to control that. I'm finding that I can forget to wash my face at night and go to sleep, and my skin skill feels even and clean with this product. Really glad I bought it.

I have used the pore minimizing Face Mask 2x since purchased. I have never used a face mask before. I have always assumed it would be far too drying and irritating on my skin. I have v sensitive skin and use several moisturizers daily. I read an article that masks can help make skin smoother, softer, healthier by removing dead skin layers and it should become part of routine facial care. So I thought after reading info about the Detox Face Mask I would give it a try. Price was not unreasonable and Yay, Made In the USA. I thought it worked great! Definitely pore minimizing, left my skin soft and not dry or tight at all. No areas of irritation. I felt an improved level of clean. I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to use a facial mask, especially anyone with sensitive or dry skin.

I have dry skin but bought this cleanser for the deep cleansing aspect and some acne as it’s a charcoal cleanser I thought it would clean my skin deep. nOT the case - it cleanses but leaves an oily residue, so I do not get that squeaky clean feel result I was looking for, nor does this wash have any anti-acne ingredients in it, not 1! How is it supposed to fight my acne? With more oils? Perhaps it balances the skin overtime by dumping coconut oil on it as it “cleanses” but that’s not what I was looking for. They should not advertise it as a deep clean and acne remedy if it does neither in reality. This is a light wash, at best. I bought it to try to replace the more expensive charcoal cleanser by Fresh but will have to keep buying the Fresh version in the future (I use it for when I really need a deep, pore unclogging clean - so 1-2 times per week on my forehead and t-zone). I may keep this one just to see how it works long-term in balancing my t-zone and just buy another deep clean product (back to the Fresh charcoal wash for me) for the deep clean.

This may turn into a lengthy review, but I think it is important to write about. Firstly, I don't have the conventional form of "acne". I occasionally get white heads but those are generally due to being in the heat and pop just from washing my face. I've been to the dermatologist and she told me I had clogged pores and prescribed medication that was meant to dissolve the blackheads and other clogged areas. It worked on my forehead but my chin was just a catastrophe and did not resolve from the ointment. Since then I LITERALLY HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING. I tried micellar water, rose mist, African black soap, retinoid creams, scrubs, yogurt masks, literally everything and nothing worked. I was about to give up on trying but then I decided to give this a try because I have heard very interesting things about the properties of charcoal. This stuff really works. While I still have some clogged pores around my chin that I will probably need to be removed by the dermatologist I have to say everything else has been clearly up beautifully. It smells wonderful and it does not dry out my skin (even though I have oily/sensitive) skin. I'm just shocked and knocking on wood that I finally found something. I never leave reviews but if this happens to help someone who is in the same boat as me then I would feel absolutely elated. Please try this if you have exhausted all other options.

I have only ever purchased one other item from this line...and I love it too! This face wash is very refreshing and a little goes a long way, which is great when you’re trying to treat your skin the right way, at a reasonable cost. I never can tell if it’s actualy making my pores smaller or whatever, but it does clean my skin throughly (I use a toner post wash and i never have left over makeup on the cotton pad) and leaves it feeling refreshed and brighter. I will be buying this product again, and would also like to try other items from this line. It’s nice to find a product line that gets the job done and you can also feel and look good when using it.

Update: 3 MONTHS OF USEAfter using this product for 3 months now, I have to say I will not be buying it again. It works GREAT for the the first month. I have VERY sensitive skin. I had a friend rub her make-up laden face on my skin, and a huge bump appeared the same day. My face is very sensitive to touch and products, so this product left my face rough looking and just not the glow I'm used to.Work great if you have problem skin, or to use it once in a while, but not for everyday use if you have sensitive to normal skin. It's too harsh for me.Again, not for sensitive skin. Thanks!
