This is a beautiful example of a walnut and hickory wood mug. The colors of walnut can range from a light cream color to dark brown with hints of black. Hickory ranges from a really light cream to a light brown. Every beer mug is handcrafted in a way that highlights the wood grains as much as possible. Of course you can use the wood mug for other drinks besides beer. You can even drink coffee from them. (We suggest you do not use the mug to steep hot tea.) After the woodwork is completed the mug is entirely covered in a clear FDA rated plastic which allows the beauty of the wood to show on the inside and outside. The coating is also what makes the mug safe to drink from. Wood is an excellent insulator. It is lighter than glass or ceramic and incredibly durable. Caring for your mug is simple. Please do not put your mug in the dishwasher, microwave, or freezer. Hand wash the wood mug using a soft cloth and regular dish soap. Actual coloring of the wooden mug may vary from photo.
