Decent but not perfect
It’s UAG so you know what you’re getting - good quality and well made. Why only 4 stars? Because the wake/sleep function is very hit & miss. The colour (think powder blue) is also a lot lighter than it looks in the photos and is already looking quite shabby. Good but not great.

Good Product - some minor niggles
I bought a replacement for my iPad mini and the new form factor was different from the 2013 model - so I needed a new case.I like a case that covers the screen to protect it from damage - so few cases seem to offer this.Looking at the options I decided that this was the best for my needs. It does the job and works well - however I have three minor gripes.1) the thick (silicone rubber?) surround means that it fouls the fingerprint scanner (slightly) meaning that the ipad doesn't always recognise your finger before it times out and you have to press the on/off button again to re-scan. Ready to modify the case with a Stanley knife to address this.2) the cover folds to provide a 2-position "stand" - however these aren't terribly stable and the bottom of the ipad cover rests in two depressions - it would be better if these were magnetic to provide some kind of 'lock'. My old iPad mini cover was from Logitech and it had a friction hinge which allowed you to position the screen at almost any angle. Sadly, neither Logitech nor other companies seem to offer this for the newer generation iPad minis (don't even know if they are still available - I coundn't find any).3) the flap that secures the cover in a closed position and retains the pen (should you have one) rests inside a raised part on the back - it is somewhat awkward to put your nails into the gap to lift this cover up to open up the case to use the iPad. Perhaps a central 'cut-out' would help here? I guess the idea is that if you have a pen, you don't accidentally 'catch' this flap and lose the pen?The above means only 4 stars as it isn't 'perfect'.Good enough to recommend however.
