good basic clog; lifesaver for those of us with toes described as "overextended" by a podiatrist
These clogs run a little large--a 36 was what I bought, and it fits nicely, but i usually wear a 37.You do need to treat the exposed wood with cutting board wax to keep it from staining if you live in a sloppier climate. Don't wax the walking surface, though. : )I find the rigid sole particularly helpful, as i have arthritis in my feet from 10+ years of ballet and then decades of cheap shoes, and I also have hyperextension in the toes, which can get painful after a day in soft shoes. The rigid sole makes my heel-toe movements more efficient and less taxing on my overly flexible toes/ toe-instep area. This shoe is as supportive as I need (others may need more or less). I don't feel a lump under my arch as I do when I am wearing my running shoes that I have supplemented with arch pads. The foot beds are contoured but not crazily topographical. All in all, a classic clog for a good price.

AM-Toffein Swedish "Wooden base" Clogs
These clogs are about as close to the clogs that we wore back "in the day" in the '70s. These do NOT have a polymer "plastic like sole", or half sole, like most of all the rest of the clogs do now days. The soles on these clogs will last for years, whereas, the polymer soles, while lighter, and not as noisy, will disintegrate on you in 5-6 years! I rather like the noise they make, myself. The soles on these clogs seem not to be as finely finished as the ones were years ago. I remedied that with a few applications of old coffee (for colour) to darken the blond coloured wood, followed by light sanding of the wood. I then sealed the bottoms with several coats of polyurethane. Now....they look authentic, like they ought to. Wish they had more colours! The seller of these clogs is "top drawer" and will do whatever it takes to please you. I think these clogs run a bit large, I originally ordered a size 43 Euro, which just about swallowed me whole, so I re-ordered a size 42 which fits perfectly. I might also add that I have a narrow foot for a guy, {I wear an USA, size 10, medium, or "C" width} so purchasers might take that into account..Hope this helps someone.

Great Style, Comfort & Price
I wanted something stylish yet comfortable enough I could slip on quickly to walk my dog or do errands outside. Most of the fashionable clogs I found like Swedish Hasbeens models have too high of a heel for long term comfort or are just too expensive. Then the more affordable clogs tended to be way too frumpy to wear in public. I was so excited to find these shoes that balance what I was looking for in style, comfort & price. The quality of the leather is really nice and the feel is very sturdy.GOOD TO KNOW:•They ship from the UK and it took about 10 days to arrive, not a problem just know to expect it & beware return costs.•They are DARK NAVY BLUE. Don't assume they are as black as they might appear on screen.•I wear US Women's Size 8, but can fluctuate half a size depending on the brand. I ordered a 38 but was concerned about the fit after seeing some comments that they ran small. Luckily they fit perfectly for me!•Clip-clopping with the wooden soles is a bit awkward at first, but you'll get the hang of it.

I LOVE these clogs
I LOVE these clogs! They are well-made, comfortable, and an excellent value. Yes, you do have to wait a week for them to arrive from overseas, however, they arrived a week earlier than the shipping estimate. I ordered a size 42, which fit perfectly. I would recommend ordering a size up if you're not sure of your size...for instance, in Haflinger wool clogs, I wear a size 41. But with these clogs a size 41 is too small, just by a smidge. However a 42 is perfect. I think they are an excellent choice if you want to try wood clogs but don't want to spend $100. By the way, wood clogs are very comfortable. I have a friend who was a surgical nurse and she wore them all the time.

Just a half size smaller than Birkenstock 43.
Excellent, first shoe that another person asked where I got it. Perfect finish, not super shiny, no visible defects, staples are evenly spaced like higher cost brands. Leather warmed quickly and stretched just enough to fit like a good glove. The wood portion of shoe is nice. Rubber sole has lots of grip. After a half hour of wear, they felt perfectly natural and supported my arches nicely. With moderate plantar problems, these were just fine the day of, and most importantly, the same night after wearing. No pain in my feet the next morning. Should you be a person that slightly overfills a Birkenstock type fit of the same size, maybe go one size up.

Old School Wood Clogs
These are the old school clogs like what you used to buy from the Swedish family in St. Augustine, Florida 30 years ago. Please don't ever stop making these. They are a classic. Hard to find these days.Yes it's a solid wood sole with a rubber sole attached. The leather will break in. It's not a Dansko clog, it's not meant to be. These aren't for walking around the city all day. These are for walking outside, short trips, weekends. I agree with another reviewer - don't run in your clogs if you can avoid!IMO, these kind of clogs are more of a life style than a comfort choice. Also for sizing, I am a 38 in most european shoes, an 8 in US shoes. These clogs in 38 were a bit long at heel, but in 37 they would hit just at the heel. So it's a personal decision - what do you prefer?

Delivered weeks before expected.
I was reluctant to purchase another pair of clogs as the first pair (Sanitas) had been too small and the return process was a nightmare. I had taken Amazon's suggested size for the last pair and they were too small. tThis time I ignored the suggested size and ordered a size larger which was the right move because they fit perfectly. The box they came in was in pieces and clogs were not wrapped in tissue. but they were in new condition so I put them on immediately and happily clomped around in my new shoes for days and days with no problems whatsoever. My faith has been restored and I bit the bullet and ordered another pair from a different brand and shipping company.......I will let everyone know the status on new order as soon as they come in.

Like wearing slippers!
I have worn wooden clogs before so knew how they would feel to wear. As a previous comment has stated they do feel quite narrow to start with but as I have quite skinny feet it really wasnt an issue - it was good for me having shoes that arent boat like for a change! It took me all of 2 days to break them in and I wear them all the time now, it really is like putting on a pair of slippers! I also have a tendency for my feet to pronate (roll inwards) as I am walking, so I find that shoes wear along the inside edge of the heel and sole quite quickly, so consequently dont feel like they support my feet after a while. These clogs, however, are being worn more towards the outer edge of the sole and my feet feel quite firm and comfy in them and well supported. I usually take a size 6.5 but these are a size 6. They dont feel especially small and I think the next size up would be too big.I would certainly get another pair in the future.

Comfortable
Comfortable but not as good quality my old genuine Dutch-made clogs which lasted 23 years! Still pleasant to wear though

Reunited with an old friend
Working in a hospital I spent 6 years of my working life 30 years ago in clogs exactly like these, and I remembered them fondly. These entirely live up to expectations. These are a size 6 and I would normally wear Clarkes court shoes in a size 5.5, but I like my clogs to have room for thicker socks. They are comfortable, and look smart. Am seriously tempted to buy a red pair as well!

Declining quality?
Last two pairs have seen the sole come away at the front within a few weeks of wear! Quality definitely declined from previously!

Beautiful quality
They are lovely. I have really wide feet and they fit no problem. Like all clogs, the leather needs to loosen across the top over the first few weeks to be really comfy, but I'm breaking them in for spring. Perfect!
