Just got a used 2021 BMW 330i and the only thing I hate about it is the original Start Engine Stop button was sun damaged. It was bubbling, rough to the touch and was even missing letters. A quick amazon search and I found this product. The most annoying part of the replacement process is removing the original button. This product comes with some black sticky putty. It will take you multiple attempts to remove the old one, my tip is to try using the putty on the side of the old button instead of the middle. After removing the old button I compared the new button with the original one and the size and attachment fittings looks exactly the same. I popped the new one in and it snapped into place and looks great.

As others have mentioned, the included black sticky stuff did NOT work. I warmed it up in the sun, and it stuck well, but released while pulling up quickly. Worked on it for about 10 minutes and gave up. I then took a piece of bare electrical wire and made a loop about 4" diameter, and hot glued that to the button. Let it cool about 5 minutes, yanked up hard once, and it came right out. I have to say that thing would never just fall out on it's own. The new one snapped in perfectly and looks so much better.Still 5 stars because the item you buy here fits perfectly, and it's not the seller's fault BMW engineered this part to not come out easily. Save that sticky stuff to tack something up to a cabinet in your garage. Just go right to the hot glue gun for this project.

Great fit and looks good. Giving 4 stars as the putty does not work. You have to drill a hole to remove the old cover.

This fit my 2021 Z4 perfectly. Some people have written that the sticky putty doesn't work. My experience was I probably had to try it about 20 times before the old button came out. The putty also seemed to get stickier at each attempt, so knead it well before trying.

Amazon shipped one day to the next! Little tip to remove the button. Play with the putty by stretching it around. The more you stretch it, the stickier it gets. Then using a lighter, heat up the bottom end and apply it to the button pressing down firmly. Then pull up hard. It may take a few time to get the button to come off, but it will! Then applying the new button is super easy. Just face it centered and press down firmly until it clicks. Then enjoy your new Red Hot Start/Stop button! It should have came like this from the factory!

Took a couple of tries with the included putty, but the original one came off without any issues and the new button looks great on my X5.

Installation was a piece of cake. I used my small thin blade pocket knife to pop off the original button and pushed on the new one. It took me 90 seconds.I kept the original button incase the new one wears out.

Looks and fits good , Honestly the sticky stuff is not strong enough alone to pull it off as expected, so this product gets a solid 4 1/2 star . Thanks.
