Absolute Garbage
I purchased this product looking for a cheap small wireless network adapter. Well, after a few months, the little place where you can position the adapter at different angles lost traction so it would just hang there. After another few months, it stopped working completely.(Note: These effects arose from nothing, the network adapter was left alone mounted on the wall the whole time, never really touched or moved.) I called Linksys support and they agreed to replace the unit, but this was after several calls being redirected and most of them being disconnected and having me calling back.(Warning, Costumer support woes.) Also, after calling back or them telling me to call a different department, the reference number they gave me seemed to be incorrect, having me to tell them over and over again what the issue was and steps that I've done before to fix it. Finally after more than 2 hours to get the unit replaced, It was arranged. When I received the unit It seemed to work fine, and after a while (but in a shorter period of time) the traction on the neck of the adapter was completely gone and whenever I download something, say 20MB, it will go out, just stop completely and lose connection dissconnecting me from the internet which requires me to unplug the adapter and re-plug it back it.Although it seemed good for the moment, it turned in to a complete piece of garbage. I'm horribly dissatisfied.

Sort of works but has issues
I am using this device on 5 dell gx270 computers right next to each other connecting to a Linksys Wrt54g router within 20 feet of them. We bought these devices to replace similar 802.11b devices. It shows excellent signal strength but a connection speed of 1mbps! I am using the most recent firmware and drivers on all devices. I also have 2 other Dell computers right next to these using the Dell wireless cards ordered with them and they show a connecting speed of 54 MBPS. I did a speed test and the ones using the Linksys WUSB54GP show actually running about half the speed of the Dell 54g devices. Trying different channels did not help. If you have a similar setup, I do not recommend these.Another issue is the orentation of these devices when inserted in the USB connection without using the stand. You cannot twist it in all directions to enable it to fit flush with the machine.

It's just OK...
Setup was easy. My main issue is I have to run REPAIR ~4-6 times each day to keep it connected to my router. Seems like the signal is not so strong. I have it mounted ~10 feet (3 meters) from the router. (PS: the angle/detent mechanism was broken when it arrived, I glued it in one position)

Works with OpenSUSE 10.2 Linux
After trying without success to get my Linksys wireless PCI card to connect with SuSE 10.2 Linux (Linksys won't write drivers for Linux, only WinDOZE) on the odd chance it might work, I plugged this USB wireless into an empty slot, and was quite pleased to be able to use it under Linux. That means my 8 and 10 year old children who prefer Linux to WinDOZE can now have internet and wireless network connections. I wrote to Linksys asking why they won't support an O/S that millions of folks use, but did not get any reply. If you use this for Linux, configure the card using NetworkManager. I'm using it on WEP Open System. I put in either Passphrase or hex strings and it works well. I can't get any speed readouts but if it works that's good enough as I only have 1MB/sec DSL service.I'm using the Linksys wireless router with speedbooster for the access point.

Easy, Fast, Simple, Cheap and Excellent
I have set up a number of linksys systems. It is my preferred network for home and small business. I really liked this portable adapter. Some of the reviews were not great, but I found it very easy, fast and simple to install. The connection is excellent. We are using these in a small business covering three buildings on a 3 acre property. These adapters are connecting through a linksys range extender in one building to the router in a building approximately 50 yards away. We are having no problems. Can easily recommend, especially for $25. One negative. Bought two through Amazon/Tiger Direct. If I had waited two weeks, I could have avoided shipping through amazon alone.

Not a High Gain Antenna system
I bought this to replace a wusb11, mainly because the Linksys site and product description state it has a HIGH GAIN ANTENNA. While it preforms well and was a snap to setup. I could see no difference between the two, reception wise. I could have bought a wusb54g and got the same results for less money. One other thing is that is is quite delicate when used without is's stand. I do like this item but it is quite pricey.

Good Deal
This is one of the better priced Wireless adapters i have seen. Just plug the chord right into your USB port and install the CD. I get great reception with it and with the long USB chord, you can move the unit around the room to find the best reception. The base stand can also be taken off so the adapter can be plugged directly into the computer as you would with a flash drive. Seems to me that most people that give these products negative reviews are working with an original signal that is weak. I have had no problems!

Good until an upgrade
This product I got to hook up a dell pc for wireless internet. Item worked great for over a year until a few days ago I decided to upgrade my Linksys WRT54GP2A-AT router to an Apple Airport Extreme (gigabit) router. For some reason this usb wireless adapter refused to see the airport base station. I looked on the net to see if anyone had the same problem that I was having, but did not find any. There were no updates on the Linksys site nor a list of compatible routers that this will work with.So for those who have this same setup ... heads up!I am purchasing another usb wireless adapter, hopefully I will have some better luck.
