CompTIA CASP+ CAS-004 Certification Guide: Develop CASP+ skills and learn all the key topics needed to prepare for the certification exam

This book is incredibly dry but hits the main topics well. I recommend using other sources online as well, to compliment this book. Definitely worth the purchase though.

I'm working my way through this book and, like many technical books, I am noticing a series of issues. In chapter 1 alone, there are review questions which reference material from the chapter incorrectly (HAIPE vs TACLANE, for example) or are missing instructions (such as 'choose 2'). Likewise there are minor corrections which need to be made within the chapters themselves.Not that it's here or there, but I vividly remember reading a technical book from another publisher which had a chapter repeated word-for-word, as well as another book from yet another publisher which had paragraphs copied and pasted between chapters.My advice to anyone studying with this or any other technical book for the purposes of certification: in addition to the book, make sure you do sufficient self-study on all topics covered!

Informational and overall good study resource, some topics aren't really defined. Also quizzes are not edited well. Some answers are in bold font and not even the correct answer. I do like it overall. I would recommend considering it's the only exam for the 004 as of now.

I have been using this book supporting my preparation for taking the CompTIA Certified Advanced Security Practitioner test. I like the assessment test which helps me understand areas where I need more concentration. It also builds my confidence knowing that I am progressing at a comfortable pace.

Thanks to Mr. Birch and his book I passed CASP 004 on the first time. Mr. Birch is very knowledgeable and very helpful. I had the chance to take a virtual class with him.

After reading the book cover to cover twice I felt the book didn’t touch on many of the items on the exam. Test prep questions were way off on subject matter and content. I would stick with the official material from CompTIA.

This certification guide is all you need! The end of chapter questions and mock exams will help you understand the concepts and help you prepare for the real exam. The author is very knowledgeable and information is very easy to grasp. I Highly recommend this book if you are looking to pass the CASP+.

This certification guide was extremely easy to follow and definitely a must have for anyone that wants to "PASS" this exam. The concepts and practice exams were instrumental in me passing this exam. I have read this book from start to finish and it great!! I love the mock questions in the back and the end of chapter questions. This is the book that you want to use if you plan to take the CASP 004 certification exam. Information flows from chapter to chapter. You will develop CASP skills and have a better understanding of all key points in order to pass the exam.

This book is great! After reading the material, running through the practice exam questions, it really helped solidify the book knowledge and helped me pass my CASP exam. Will definitely recommend this book to my friends!
