Almost what I thought
I ordered this to go with my peppermill made by the same manufacturer; however, the grinding mechanism is plastic on this model and not metal like my peppermill. This may be standard in a salt mill, but I had hoped it would have a metal grinder.

Vic Firth Federal Pepper mill
I have both. Pepper mill and salt mill also. They work great. I had French Peugeout pepper mill but these mills are much better. Plastic grinding mechanism in salt mill works great and I have not to worry about corrosion to the metal caused be salt. I bought a pair for my friend as a Christmas gift because it is so good.
