HUB AXLE NUT OR8 CRMO FT M9x1.0 PR BK

Get Chrome ones and you should be in good shape. Black ones lose their paint quickly.
These track nuts function well for holding the wheel. It is unfortunate that you can't review the black ones separately from the rest because the biggest problem with these won't happen to the shiny chrome ones. If you put a wrench on these to tighten them onto your dropouts you will remove pant from them. This is on the first try, so repeated installations look worse, and worse as the paint is scraped off of the nuts.My second issue (I knew might be a problem even before I bought them, so I wouldn't take a star for this), is that the threads don't start for 4+ mm's into the nut. So, if you have a short axle you may have a problem using track nuts. I ended up having to install a longer axle into my hub in order to use these nuts. Like I said, not something I would drop a star for, but it's good to know if you haven't used track nuts before.

Rare, and they do fit on Sturmey Archer front bicycle hubs.
Don't bother seeking these at your local hardware store… they are not there. I purchased a cargo bicycle made in the Netherlands which has Sturmey Archer hubs on all three wheels. The rear wheel had the original equipment 13/32 Sturmey Archer axle nuts, but the axle nuts were missing from the front wheels. I mistakenly thought that the front axles would be the same (13/32), but they were not. After ordering the wrong ones, I finally looked at the specs for the front hubs on the Sturmey Archer website, and found that the front axles take a M9 x 1.0 nut. I ordered these, and they fit. What more could I ask?

Works great so far
Buy the M9 for your front wheel and the M10 for the rear.Works great so far. Will update my review after a couple months of use in the humid Florida weather.

Looks good
Not much to say, it fits and looks good on my fixie. If you need axle nuts, these are an excellent choice.

They work fine, but the paint wears off.
Paint started to wear off after a few times of removing the wheels. Other than that though, they work as you would expect them to.

The anodize red comes off pretty easily. Use a tool that has been dipped
These came as advertised and ahead of schedule. The anodize red comes off pretty easily. Use a tool that has been dipped, or taped to avoid removing the finish. They work for the price and for what they are.

Economical way to save your frame some damage
Not a bad set of axle nuts, much better than the stock ones that came with my wheelset. One was seized from the paint and took some persuading to come loose. The paint will chip off from tightening these as they are not powder coated.

Perfect!!
Perfect!!!!!Actually the base part and nut head a kinda built in but separate design, which means even you put too much torque on the nut head part but the washer part will not scratch one your frame.Awesome industrial design! Bravo!
