Powerful, color accurate light
I have used this light with my Canon camera system for over a year without incident. I get plenty of output (350-400 flashes) at full power with the modeling light on. At lower power settings I can shoot a lot more and have yet to completely drain the battery during a shoot. The Bowens system is extremely versatile as I have used a number of larger softboxes, beauty dishes, snoots, reflectors with grids and umbrellas. I replaced the provided trigger (Orlit TTL transceiver TR-611-c) with the ST-RT TTL 2.4 Ghz Transmitter because it is easier to read, easier to use and seems to get more consistent performance. I would definately buy again.

Unreliable. Adorama customer service unresponsive.
I have two. One works great. The other had to be replaced shortly after purchase because although it appeared to respond to my Canon transmitter, it stopped flashing. Even the test button failed to pop the flash. After several months of very little use, I have one not firing again.I can never reach Adorama customer service on the phone and they don't return voice mail messages. Using their customer support message form yields generic responses weeks later that are useless. After nearly a month, I'm pretty frustrated. They used to be great but I'd avoid this product s it's only sokd as their store brand. It is a shame, because when they work they're great. But their unreliability and lack of support make these too risky for anyone expecting to rely on them.

So far... promising.
I'm giving the lights a 4 right now... but you need to read to understand. I plan to test the equipment much more and hopefully upgrade this. The reason for not a 5 is the following:- I have a YN-E3-RT trigger which is "100% Canon" compatible. This is "100% Canon" compatible. Out of the box they did not work. After a bunch of google searches and writing to Adorama... I upgraded the firmware on the strobe... no go. I upgraded the firmware on my YN-E3-RT... both clearly were out of date looking at the new displays. NOw they work perfectly.- You set the trigger to 1/2... the display on the strobe is 6. Don't really go together... half of 9 (max) should be 4.5. I can live with this... just have to think differently.I have a canon speedlite and will test that soon. All my gear is Canon 600EX-RT II compatible. Now for the presentation... Adorama's box they used to ship left much to be desired. I took many photos because honestly I thought the equipment was trashed. The boxes that house the light are flimsy but the case and all are good. Equipment is heavy but it has a honking battery on it.Overall I'm impressed and my Canon, Yongnou and Orlit equipment will all work so no reinvestment in stuff I don't "need".

Convenient and powerful
I have been using 2 for almost a year now. There has never been a problem with the flash not going off. There was a problem with one of the batteries but Adaroma was very responsive and replaced it quickly.I had no problems contacting their customer support.
