Good sound quality and durability. Cable is a little too stiff.
Very durable - works great with my W30s. Longer than standard. Cables can be a little stiff - even though ear loops are shaped, the cables still slip off over my ears because of the stiffness. I think a slider might have helped.

Don't bother, check other options
Yes, these turn your Westones into a headset, but they are terrible to wear. The piece that goes over your ear is too flexible and constantly falls off resulting in a bud popping out with the slightest bit of motion. Given the constant readjusting to keep the wires over my ears, and considering the price I definitely can't recommend them.If you need to turn your MMCX IEMs into a headset, I'd recommend this instead: OKCSC Upgrade Earphone Cable 5N 4 Share Twist Weave Copper Plate Silver MMCX jack Replacement cord for SHURE SE215 SE315 UE900 (cafe mic). So far, this cable has met my needs.

very satisfied customer, having owned a set of your ADV ...
Outstanding. This is from the email I wrote to Weston after about 6 mos. of ownership:Greetings, Westone,For the past 6 months or so I have been a very, very satisfied customer, having owned a set of your ADV earphones. As a cyclist, hiker and runner for the past three decades, over which span of time I've auditioned dozens of earphones, your ADV are simply the finest for the endurance/outdoor enthusiast. No other comparable product matches the care and forethought of your design, or quality of your construction. Just a few notes of appreciation:1. Audio quality, for an out and about, rugged but not too costly set of earphones is excellent.2. Comfort is simply superb. I can wear them longer, under a more diverse array of conditions, than any competition earphone3. Ease: Loop the thin, durable wire around my ear and go. What could be easier? I can tell you what's harder: How about the high end Beats 'phone, which includes a shoddy plastic piece that is somehow supposed to fit under my ear's integument; How about KEF, with a gracelessly design wand of bendable rubber that I guess I'm supposed to fit around (within?) my ear. I could go on, but the only system that compares with yours in terms of comfort/simplicity/secure hold is B&W's C5.4. Usability: Rare among all controller sections is your: pronounced ridges mean my fingers can easily find up/down controls, and discern which is the pause control. Even with biking gloves. Critically, it's pretty light, too, which means I don't feel the downward pressure between strides or pedal strokes that I do with the KEF or JBL or Sure or UE models, whose boxy control units tend to bounce annoyingly.5. Thoughtful touches: The fabric-y "weave" that wraps your wire is brilliant. Resists tangling. When it does tangle, easier to untangle. And microphones are very low (does the weave dampen those?)6. Durability: My favorite feature is also the most prosaic. Or, maybe it's my favorite because it is so prosaic and easily overlooked. It's the design of the 3.5mm jack. First, it's L-shaped, which is an absolute MUST for any "wear-around", everyday kind of earphone. The L jack, as you obviously know, sets a much lower profile along the phone, so it's far less likely to get knocked sideways when one is fumbling for the phone/player, or maybe dropping it to the ground (which can destroy not just the jack, but the receptor in the device itself). THEN you coat the jack in some kind of space-age rubbery stuff, and elegantly lend it a graceful curve; so, it's an L jack in function, but in design it's something far more notable and lovely.I could go on, but I am writing to let you know that not only do I love and appreciate this product — I also have to send it for repair. Coming in from a rainy ride yesterday I took the right earphone out and, in the act of placing back into my ear, I think some water was forced into the aural tube. Or, perhaps something else befell the unit. Whatever, it simply stopped working. It wasn't one of those annoying intermittent problems caused by connection issues at the control unit or jack juncture, but I think something actually got into the earpiece, as nothing emanated from the earpiece but complete silence. Then, rather stupidly, I took it upon myself to pry the unit open and poke around the tube. This resulted in audio resuming for a moment, then back to silence. So, now I guess I need an RA or some kind of communication from you, authorizing a return, or at least telling me how to proceed with a repair or replacement. I just purchased on Amazon a set of Pro20s, for delivery tomorrow, so this is not a rush. Just let me know what I should do next. Best, Joel MaHarry, satisfied customer.

Loose contact after 3 months
After only 3 months of usage it already has a loose contact at the plug. That's not really acceptable for a cable of this price.Sound is good though.

Solid product, perhaps user specific/infrequent build quality issues
Overall a solid product, but suffers from a few issues.1. Microphonics (i.e. cable rubbing produces sound in your ears): i saw a pretty dramatic increase in microphonics with this cable. It seems to be that the braided fabric is the cuprit. Also, the covering that goes around the cable that goes over the ears is somewhat stiff and doesn't not hug the curve of the ear that well, which would usually damp the sound.2. Build quality is overall very solid, but there is a shrink wrap that covers the transition from the over-the-ear cover to the braid cable that pulled off (slid down the cable) on both cables at the same time. A little superglue could probably fix this.

Audio quality is very good, a little bit more soundstage and deep base ...
works ok for Shure 535CL. headphone diver connector fits but requires some force to fit, also the cable feels flimsy and very thin, as long as it is durable it won't be a problem. Audio quality is very good, a little bit more soundstage and deep base than stock cable.

Unfortunately after < 30 days the volume control did not function as designed (could not lower volume). Returned the item under warranty. I will try again based on loyalty to Westone.

... to review an item so that i have a good honest answer for someone who may be looking to ...
I usually wait a couple weeks to review an item so that i have a good honest answer for someone who may be looking to buy. With that being said, i have tested this cable for about a month and i must say i am really glad i bought it. I am using it with my shure se215 ltd's and they make a great combo. The bass is more pronounced and the mids and highs sound better for sure. I was really impressed with the bass though. that was 1 thing that i felt lacked a little bit with the earphones and this cable definitely brought out what i was looking for. I knocked off 1 star because they are a little uncomfortable to wear, i think memory cable around the ears would be a nice addition. Im constantly pulling down around the ears because the headphones like the rise a little bit while on the move. Other than that, really nice cable for 215's. Requires a bit trimming of the rubber around the mmcx fitting, but once that is done they fit great.
