Cuisinart SSL-100 Prep Express Slicer, Shredder and Spiralizer, White

I made a lovely carrot dish and had to peel them by hand. I broke the peeler and it took me about 20 minutes, each piece coming out a different size. That's why I started looking for something better. I found cheaper ones and almost went for it. But, I looked at off-site reviews and they weren't great. I said the heck with it spent the extra and so glad I did. I'm in love with this. Many other brands had complaints about doing carrots because they are so hard, this baby does them no problem. I also recently made crinkled potatoes added a little cheese powder and stuck them in fry pan - so good. And it took me less than 3 minutes to slice over 8 potatoes.It comes with so many options - and the slicer are color coded so you know which does which, great extra for those of us who get confused and hate reading instructions. The all time best part is the clean up! I can do all my slicing and have this baby cleaned much faster than if I did the same job without it. I truly appreciate how well they put the effort into making it easy to clean. Many items are so hard to clean you don't even want to use them. Just pop out the parts and wash - super fast.Great way also to get kids eating more veggies when you make spirals and rippled ones. Can't wait to try more ideas!

I love this spiralizer. It is electric and works really well. Much better than the handheld. It literally only takes minutes to spuraluze. My favorite to spiralize yellow squash and parsnips. I love this machine and it is well made and compact.

I've tried three different times to use this to make fruit/vegetable noodles, and it has completely failed every time.The blades do not automatically position in the mechanism properly, making it impossible to place the feed chute unless you realize that the blades are not in place correctly.The chutes aren't large enough or even well-suited for anything other than zucchini or cucumbers. Everything else I've trimmed to fit down the chute just hangs at the blades and using the push-tool just ends up breaking the fruit/vegetable item instead of pushing it in to be cut.Frankly, it seems as if this device wasn't even tested to see if it was easy to use, or actually does what it purports to do. I wouldn't even try to resell this because I'd feel dishonest taking someone else's money for such a useless device, so mine is going in the trash.

7/26/2017 UPDATE: I've had some more time to test this appliance and while I do love it my main gripe about it would be that they should have made the food tube wider to fit things like potatoes or turnips or even medium-large zucchini. I think they tried to keep the appliance compact. My only suggestion is "don't throw away your crank-style vegetti".I love this appliance! I've used it to make zucchini noodles, shredded carrots and cauliflower rice and it never missed a beat. Cleanup is easy and it's nice that Cuisinart provided a brush to clean all the nooks and crannies of the cones. If your arm is hurting from cranking out zucchini noodles then I suggest this efficient appliance. Too bad it's not in stock all that often, though.

My Cuisinart SSL 100 is a dream to use. If I just want a small amount of a vegetable ,I process just one. Any amount can be made. It was so easy to put together, and is easily cleaned after use. Also, it doesn't take up much room and looks great on my kitchen counter.

This product is certainly better than another zoodle maker we bought and tried. downside of this (like others) is that a lot of the vegetable is unused (unless you have a PERFECT fit). I think we just aren't zoodle people. We have other kitchen appliances to do the rest. PS also not that easy to clean.

We enjoy the crinkle cut ribbons slicer and make delicious rosette zucchini lasagna. So easy to use and clean with very little waste. Not as convenient as the old salad shooter but much more versatile.

This is one cool tool. Modifies food to make it easy and faster to cook and easier to eat. Make spaghetti zucchini and fettuccini from sweet potato. Slice and chop other veggies. Clean it in a flash. Fun.
