Perfectly fine!
Hi, this is a decent kit intended for the manufacture of your own candles. If you haven't kept your own wax from other expired candles (I have!) then this pack provides you with 9 blocks of wax as a starter pack, along with a small candle saucepan, a tall small stirring spoon, 15 - 20 wicks, 50 wick stickers and small wooden flat lollipop-type sticks which are intended to hold the wicks in place whilst the wax is cooling and solidifying. This is a pretty decent candle-making kit all things considered.

Easy beginners kit
I'm a beginner, this kit made it easy to get started making candles. The kit I chose didn't have any scents or oils. I didn't have a thermometer (you need a thermometer). I used some very small silicone moulds to make candles. They turned out great. It was very easy to make good candles. There weren't any instructions, so I did a bit of research. Here are some basic temperatures. The Wax starts melting at about 55 degrees. You should pour it at about 60 degrees. Use Essential oils for Soy candle wax and add the oils in around 70 degrees and stir gently (any higher and the fragrance will burn off and you won't smell anything). Leave the candle to set (cure) for at least 4 hours or it will break apart when you try to separate it from the mould. Leave the candle to fully cure for 14-28 days for the fragrance to fully react with the wax or you will smell very little when it comes to lighting it. When using fragrance oil weigh the oil out in grams not ml's and use a ratio of 5gms of oil to 20gms of wax (5%). Some waxes go up to 12% (the "load" value). Start at 5% and work up to 12%, putting too much fragrance in will not make it smell stronger. The starter wicks that come with the kit work well on narrow candles. If you want big chunky candles, then you will need better wicks.I had to buy a hob reducing plate as the pot didn't sit on my range's cast iron hobs. They are cheap and are delivered fast. This kit was a GREAT help for me as this was my first go and I saw immediate success. I would strongly recommend this to everyone starting out.

Gift for Mum's birthday π
My mum has recently got into the habit of recycling old candles by melting the left over wax to make her own. I thought this would be a good idea for her to continue make them with actual wicks rather than string as the former candles burnes with pretty big flames which was alarming, it was no wonder they finished fast! She has made one safe candle from this kit, so and has said she will use it again for the future as she found the kit gave helpful instructions and a decent amount of wax. My mum tends to keep the glasses from former candles also which was ideal with this kit that provides just materials. I may get one for myself in future. Delivery came a little late as I didn't realise it hadn't been my basket for a while. π highly recommended this kit.
