Really wanted to love this "smart mirror" but they're just so many things wrong or half baked.- Old android version (v5, current is v8). That would have been fine if it would make the interface fast and responsive. It is not. It's laggy and occasionally you need to double tap the screen. Weak CPU.- Internal battery is too small. This is a huge deal. It doesn't even last overnight. That means it keeps cold starting itself everytime you start the engine. Completely exasperating when you need to backup and find the mirror is starting itself from a dead battery and you need to wait two minutes to see something on screen. That's a deal breaker right there.- 4G does not work. 3G does not work. 2G works but is useless, even on Google Maps or Waze. Have tried with two SIMs, different carriers, different bands and it should work with the 2100 LTE one but the screen doesn't show anything (4G, 3G, No-Data, 2G, nothing.). Not even an error and data is not available. Should have world band coverage or more band reception options.- Because data is not available, that means I need to use Wi-Fi tethering from my phone. This would be a minor inconvenience oof it weren't for the fact, that because it restarts itself, WiFi is always off since it's the default setting and you need to turn it on on the mirror everytime it starts itself! Crazy.- GPS is sketchy. It will say it has a lock on enough satellites but on Google Maps or Waze it cannot find your location until you restart the app. Waze is specially picky on this. And because there's no "show apps" button like on normal android you must close it from within the app.- Speaker and microphone were DOA. A hard reset gave my speaker back. Microphone still missing (maybe recording the cabin audio makes it unavailable to hear voice commands?), so you cannot use voice recognition on Waze or Google Maps or anything you need to type. Typing on this mirror while the car is moving is a road hazard.- Screen has good resolution but has really poor contrast and vision angle. Colors are washed out and small text is really hard to read. Not IPS. No brightness sensor makes it too bright at night and too dim in sunlight. Manual brightness adjustment in a 2017 in a 180 bucks device is unacceptable.- Cannot turn off automatic video recording everytime you start the car. Cannot turn off the voice prompts of "EXTERNAL POWER DISCONNECTED AND WILL BE SUSPENDED" "GPS LOCK IS OK" at full blast every single time you start or turn off the car.- Frontal camera has good resolution. Backup camera image quality is poor and lacking in low light, 240p-360p.- Collision sensor thinks every big bump on the road is a collision.- I'm using the latest software. Online updates are not available for now. (December 2017)All in all the idea is great. But I expected a more mature product for my money and I would like my money back. It's not worth it.

The only reason this thing isn't getting 5 stars is because I had to modify fitment. The instructions weren't helpful and keep in mind this is not a universal fitment ! I have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata and the rear view mirror is the same size as this one here so mounting was almost impossible then I come to see that my original mirror covers the camera and speaker. SMH.. no big deal though.. the redemption for this product was after it was installed and wires were routed. Very Vibrant colors and bright display. Touch sensitivity is perfect, and front camera quality is great! Once installed and turned on I would be shocked if you didn't say " Oh damn.." A side note for those who are going to purchase this item. If you have a large mirror like mine, you want to go and purchase a NEW mirror .. I found one at autozone for 14.99.. The dimensions you are looking for are 8" (length) and 2 1/2" wide from top to bottom. Those dimensions are ideal to work with this mirror. If you would like the autozone part # for the Mirror I used .. It's a Pilot Automotive rear view mirror (Pilot is the brand name) Part # MI-009 (Universal Mirror ) it doesn't come with glue for the windshield but comes with the metal mount bracket that goes to the windshield. This review is for the display and Cameras.. I haven't used the google play store for apps yet.

I absolutely LOVE my "Smart Mirror". However, initially the packaging was incomplete (Fixed Buckles were missing). Therefore, the installers had to use "Tie wraps" instead. This caused the mirror to malfunction. Once I was finally in touch with someone (ANNIE) from the actual company "Junsung" and explained my situation, Annie was very nice,empathetic and attentive to my needs. Annie immediately put a replacement order for the Buckles for me ( she also included an extra rear camera along with it). Although it took quite some time for the new parts arrive (from China) , once they I got them (about a week ago) the installers were able to successfully re-install the mirror.The most thing I like about the mirror is the plain and simple fact that I am a "Show off"...lol....I love the attention that it gets....lol ....Just being honest and keeping it real!....The mirror works Great!....I purchased a "hard wire kit" for my next installation so that I could save energy and the option for the mirror to run 24/7 w/out draining out. However, by this being relatively new technology to my installers, I hadto have re-wire it because it drained out the battery overnight. Now I have it set to shut off automatically when I turn the car off and comes on automatically when I start the the car. Have yet to the (included TF card activated) . I can't wait to do that so I can show off even more....lolAs anyone can see by reading this That I am an "auto electronic rookie". Therefore, I am open to any suggestions anyone may have.An example is : I thought I would be able to hook up and listen the Smart Mirror through my SUV's Personal audio system. However, it does not! the sound you will get come from small speaker on the mirror. Meanwhile, thank you JUNSUNG for an awesome product and excellent customer service.WARNING! Be sure to get EXPERIENCED installers ONLY!

As of right now, one star. Packaging was great.... product looks amazing. But when I first plugged it in, voice prompt indicates “video recording start” and “gps locating”. But all I get is a white screen. I can’t get to a menu, or anything else. I’ve tried pressing the reset button, and nothing happens, restarting, still the white screen. If anyone can help with this I would appreciate it.My rating will change if this situation gets resolved.

Installation was fairly straight forwards, routing the rear view camera cable being a little awkward. The user manuals English translation is not good and the print to small, to read comfortably. The product itself feels well made and fitted to my rear view mirror with no problems, it would be a huge benefit, if there was a right hand drive version, to provide a better drivers angle of view.The android menu system works well and the touch screen is very responsive to touch, video quality seems reasonable, I have not driven far or used this function enough, to provide fair comment. My iPhone pairing was simple and works well. Sat nav also works well and easy to use over all I'm happy with this car cam.

A truely brilliant item , like having an android tablet in your rear view mirror . It connects to your home WiFi so you can set things up and check for any updates , have the same navigation app on my phone so I have an account so I imported all the extra bits ........ update , EE data sims do not work on this item , if you have this hard wired and don’t use your car for a week or so your battery WILL go flat so be aware and disconnect it
