Barbie Collector Dolls of The World Australia Doll

I am a Barbie Collector and I love this doll's costume. I wish the hat were not plastic, but it is done well and could not expect more at the low price that these dolls sell for.

My granddaughter is studying Australia and I wanted to get her an Australian Barbie. They are very difficult to find but I found one on Amazon. It is exactly what I wanted. The outfit looks exactly like one an Aussie would wear and the Koala bear is so cute. It will make a perfect visual aid for her report. The passport is a nice touch. She will have this doll for a long time. I have always liked Barbies and this keeps with the quality standards of the ones I had when I was her age. This is not a doll I would give to a very young girl as it is really not for playing with but for collecting.

The doll was wonderful, great costume, shame the box was quite damaged, as I did buy it new.

Love this doll. So glad I found her online. However when I was in the outback, no one I met dressed this stylish lol.

This doll actually was for a gift to my wife. She collects Barbie dolls following her citeria. Her display room is great, our friends love that barbie dolls filled room. The service was great too. Just nice surprises. everything as promised, we are fully satisfied.Regarding a different matter may I suggest you do something if possible: We tried to buy a few more dolls (winter in NY, chilean, polish and norewigan at least. Unfortunately we got a not available to ship note, (Mexico City where our home address is by now). That was surprising since we've already purchased several dolls shipped to Mexico.That's it, thank you again for all that profesionalism and hope we can get more dolls soon.

There are very few people who dress anything like this in Australia. I don't get it. Is Barbie supposed to be an Outback rancher? If so, why can't she wear jeans and REAL, not-high-heeled boots like ranchers really do? Why make her look like such a boring fashion plate?And of course, she has to be a white blonde. Let's completely ignore the Aboriginal heritage of Australia! There is absolutely nothing culturally specific about this doll. It's just a lazy attempt to slap some khaki and a hat on a Barbie and make money off of it. Ugh.

I like the dolls of the world like for it stimulates thinking on the particular country and gives the child a different perspective on playing with Barbie dolls. Their imagination will be expanded as they enjoy playing.
