Maxell 213027 T-180 9 Hours Standard Grade VHS

I had hoped to have no problems with these brand new tapes but 2 out of the 3 that I bought so far are depressing me with the video playback. I don't understand how it can record the show clearly, but the playback is scratchy with the tracking issues that won't stop even though I'm pressing the tracking button on the remote like crazy. I had began to think that my 8 year old VCR was going to the deep end, but then I put another tape that I previously had taped a million times on and IT PLAYED GREAT immediately after taking the NEW Maxell 9-hours tape out of the machine. I examined the Maxell 9s and I noticed that the tape tends to be not as tight as it should be and even if I attempt to tighten it, after a few short minutes of playback the tracking issues start again.Oh well, it's all understandable that videocassettes are being made to the greatest of perfection or value these days. I was basically shocked that I could still purchase them without paying too much. I guess I'll find the sweet spots on the tapes and only record and watch from that portion of it. I do own a DVD recorder, but I still love to record on my VCR. I can't let it go, not yet.

I bought this blank tape to use in my VHS security camera/vcr to keep an eye on some low life neighbors. The tape worked perfectly since May, being recorded and erased on a continual daily basis. Recently, the left reel keeps locking up inside the cassette and the tape won't run in the vcr. I took the cassette apart and everything seems to look okay. But as soon as it is inserted into the vcr, it will not run. I checked the vcr and other tapes run fine, so I know there is something wrong with this tape. I am going to try another one and see if I can return this one to Maxell as they say they have a "limited" lifetime warranty on it.

My Maxell 213027 GX-S T-180 VHS Cassette Standard Grade T-180 arrived on time and in good condition. Though I record with DVDs, I still once in a while record with VHS, I guess old habits are hard to break. And when I need to record in 8 hours I use this product. It is very hard to find in retail stores, and when you do locate one it is often very expensive, thank goodness for Amazon and similar websites that offer them still. I highly recommend this product. I give this a 5 star because it is very affordable and it arrives to my house at no extra cost within a few days.

Bought these tapes for a friend of mine who thinks he is in the movie production business🤔. He is always wanting longer VHS tapes and they are very hard to find, so I surprised him with these. He was very happy and has had no problems and he can record longer movies. I was at first skeptical all the reviews I read. I know to read more then one or 2 reviews before I make my final decision. I decided to give them a shot and I couldn't be happier. I made an old man very happy my friend said 😁. Also these tapes aren't available anywhere hard to find very hard to find.

Love my 9 hr tapes unfortunately, I placed a brand new one in my machine and my machine did not go on and tape my programs. Missed my programs. I put in another new tape and the same thing happened. Placed an old tape and no issues. I do not know why they won't work. Not worth my time or money to send them back. Received in great condition. Fast shipping.

I don't care that people make fun of me for still using VHS but a 9-hour tape means I don't miss anything while away. Why pay for cable company to store shows? I'm not that fussy and refuse to toss perfectly good tapes. These tapes are perfect for my needs. I prefer to keep my money not throw at cable company so I can have the latest toy that keeps changing.

I am very happy to be able to still get blank videocassettes even though they are no longer available in stores. I find that the blank DVDs are a bit more expensive than the videocassettes and you cannot rewind them or tape over them as you can with blank videocassettes. I have on occasion run into bad videocassettes as the picture and sound are not clear.

I wish they made tapes like they used to. These hung up on the turning wheels, recorded some portions in snow but you could get the sound. Hangs up when you fast forward or rewind. Not all of the tapes had the same problems. Three of the tapes I had to cut the tape to get it out when trying to eject them. They hung up inside. A mess. But I am still going to keep on trying from Amazon to find some excellent T180 tapes. This problem does not discourage me from buying from Amazon. I love Amazon.

The VHS tape was for my Video cassette recorder. The quality has been excellent and it arrived within about 2 days of ordering it.
