Good product at a good price.
Seems like a good quality product for the price. Materials are quality, everything is straight and aligned. Sound is quite good. Actually seems quieter and better built than a much more expensive Shibata stylus I had gotten from LP Gear, although has a little less detail and shows sibilance if the track is particularly sibilant whereas some more expensive styli can tame the sibilance a little better. All in all, well worth it. I'd say it's about 85% of the performance of my other stylus that costs a few times the price, so good value/performance ratio.

The 681A with the round stylus always did sound better than the elliptical
It's a shame that the company making the after-market replacement stylus, brush, and magnet tube for this cartridge decided to make the "oval" version. The straight round version always did sound better. I wore mine out before I lost my draft deferment in 1971. When DENON talked to the DJ's in Japan about the design of their legendary DL-103 cartridge, every DJ said the same thing, "Ditch the elliptical stylus and make the stylus ROUND." That's the way Columbia Broadcasting made the DL-103, and it is still a legend to this day. And so is the Stanton 681A with the round needle.

Made every vinyl sound old and scratchy
Direct replacement for my Stanton cartridge, it made every vinyl (even new) sound horribly scratchy with unacceptable background noise, as if I was using a cheap stylus, or playing over-used vinyl. Went back to my original stylus which has over 500 hrs, but still sounds much better.
