I liked the fact that this product helps people learn where the strands of hair go when braiding but it didn't help me much because I wanted to learn how to do braids on my own head, and you really need to see what's happening in order to use this product. I think if you have children you want to do braids on, or teach them, this is a good tool for you.

Thought I would give it a try since my daughter always asks me to. I’ve never French braided hair in my life and I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out for my first time.

I’ve never been able to French bread mine or anyone else’s hair. And, now that I have toddler who want me to do braids in her hair, I really I wanted this to work. It doesn’t. The width of the tool is too wide, so if you have fine hair where each section doesn’t take up a lot of space, the tool spaces out the sections too much and leaves uneven, loose gaps. My final result didn’t look anything like a braid.Pros:- would maybe work on thick hair? I wouldn’t know :(Cons:- DOES NOT WORK for FINE hair.

This would be great for braiding someone else’s hair, if it was thin and long. but is not good for doing your own, which I what I bought it for. I read the instructions and tried doing it with wet, damp, and dry hair and it is just not happening. I have shoulder length hair, normal thickness and it would not stay in the slots.

The foam in-between the pieces is too rough. The hair gets tangled easily.

I feel like this is such a gimmicky product. I used it on my moms hair fine, but I am not coordinated enough to do this for my own hair, which is why I had purchased it to begin with. lol

To be honest I am not sure how this is supposed to help/work...these were not helpful to me at all. Seems like it helps others, but not me!

Probably need longer hair. My 3yo daughter has shortish hair still and this tool doesn't make it easier than by hand. Will be a lot easier when her hair gets longer though.
