Missing screws
Missing some screws for the base so it leans to the side. I fear that might fall over so I don't keep it plugged up.

Solid working space heater with accurate thermostat. Plenty of heat for one room.
Recently inherited this exact model from the family garage upon moving into a daylight basement in Portland, Oregon. After living in SoCal for several years Portland is proving to be much chillier environment. Maybe I got spoiled in California with almost never having to use central heat or a space heater along with being able to keep patio doors open pretty much all year round. Space heaters are a must up here in the cool damp Dagobah System that is Portland. I've been using this heater nearly 24/7 for several weeks now in the month of April in a bedroom that's about 10' x 10' feet square with two medium sized double pane windows. No glitches at all. Heats up room within five minutes with bedroom door partially closed. I use the auto thermostat temperature mode set at 72º during the day and drop it down to 70º when I sleep. Blasting it at 74º heats up the room super fast, but is too hot for me to keep on the whole time. Like most thermostats, there's what's called a temperature swing, meaning it heats to over 2 degrees above the set temperature then turns off and comes back on when the room temperature drops back down to your set temp. Here are the basics:PROS:- Can set the thermostat in 1 degree increments, after setting it displays the room temperature.- Thermostat functions really well in auto mode. Fan runs in high, then drops to low for a few seconds then off after reaching the 2 degrees over your setting.- Puts out a decent amount of heat in high mode.- Fan noise isn't over powering in high mode, not loud enough to drown out a TV.- Easy to read digital temperature display.- Controls are on front which is better than on top so you don't have to stand over it just to see the temperature display.- Doesn't put out any weird burning smell. If that happens after the break in period you probably need to vacuum out the dust.- It beeps when you press any of the setting buttons. When setting temperature, it flashes for about ten seconds then display room temperature. Red light stays on if powered off just to show it's plugged in.- Oscillating mode doesn't make any noise.- Power cord does not got hot, barely even warm throughout cable and at plug.- Light weight, easy to move and pretty stable even on softer surfaces.- Decent looking design.- Three year warranty.CONS:- No fan only setting. Not sure why so many heaters don't offer this, seems more common in cheap tiny heaters.- Auto mode only works on high setting.- Does not remember settings after power off (not a big deal).- No shut off if tipped over. All in all this has been a well functioning space heater. Sets a pretty high bar when making comparisons to get another for my other room. Hopefully it'll give me a few more years of good service.

This space heater is not worth it!
This space heater is not worth it! I bought it in hopes to keep my heating bills down, and ended up spending more money in the long run. After using the space heater for about a month, one night it blew out a whole electrical circuit in an entire corner of my house. The heater was running in my master bedroom and blew out the wires in the light switch in my foyer two rooms down. Had to call an electrician and pay $500 to have electrical repairs done in my house. I'll just have to turn the heat up on my furnace now or consider investing in a pellet stove. This space heater is not worth the risk!

Failed after 11 days
Bought at Bed Bath and Beyond. Loved it. quite, heated my garage workshop well enough. After 11 days the temperature down button stuck. Could not adjust heat or turn off unit. Going to return it but they do not have any more in stock. Amazon's price is much higher than BB&B. Really wished this unit worked out for me. I needed a quite but powerful heater while working on shop and this did for only 10 days. :(

House Waking Beeps
I’d like to know who the f*#% thought adding super loud beeps to button presses was a good idea!? I can’t adjust this during the night without waking everyone in the room. That alone takes away 4 stars from an otherwise nice unit.

Received this as a gift in December (Model CT30750 - purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond) and it tipped over once (very easy to do since the base is not heavy and the handle is pathetic) and the safety mechanism triggered causing the unit to completely stop working. I called customer service who said that since the unit tipped, they will not warranty anything and the unit is useless. I just wanted to put a warning out there. I'm so sad about Lasko's response to a very expensive, new unit. If they are so easy to tip, then there needs to be a warranty to cover fixing the safety switch. I would not recommend this heater.

Did not work for long!
We really liked this heater and it heats up a room pretty quickly. We liked the remote and really liked the auto thermostat for during the nights. Problem......this heater burned out in a little over 2 months! Couldn't return it or replace it because it burned out after the allowed return date. This is the first Lasko heater that has burned out for us. We have two other smaller versions like this one and they have been working for years. Will not take a chance on this one again, though.
