I put this switch between my pool's sand pump and the cord going to the house so I don't have to unplug the pump to turn it off. Works perfectly.

This is very useful for attaching gazebo lighting and gazebo fans. It makes the systems easier to control.

I got this for a pool accessory. It spent last summer baking in the sun, getting chlorinated water splashed on it, and being manhandled by overzealous children. Then it lived through the winter, and is on to a 2nd summer. It is still working just fine. Good purchase.

I use this with my little pond pump for a fountain. The pump has no switch. So instead of unplugging it to turn off, and plugging into the outlet to turn on, I can just leave it plugged into this extension and turn it on and off with the built in switch. Works perfectly

You know those patio string lights that you’re constantly plugging in and pulling out of the outlet? This gives you a switch to hit, instead. No more hassling with that obnoxious outdoor covered outlet. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is that the head of the cord goes straight in, instead of being at an angle. So the box over the outlet doesn’t close, which makes it a little messy looking. But in amazing solution nonetheless

I use these where I need a switch on something that plugs in without one. These are heavy-duty, 3 prong, and get the job done. I actually bought several of these, to have a spare or two when I need another one. Especially handy, for example, with an outdoor fan on an extension cord, when you don't want to have to find the on/off control behind the fan.
