Works perfectly.
I didn’t buy this for manholes. I actually got it because I bought a large plastic style garden storage box that when the lid opens up is so high that my 6ft tall wife can only just reach it on tip toes. With this even I can reach it easily. I bought a 2nd of those storage boxes so immediately bought another of these so I can close that one as well.

Ideal for lifting a very heavy cover
After replacing my man hole cover with a recessed cover with stone inserts I needed to be able to lift a very heavy cover, these handles were just what I needed.
