I love the larger window compared to other devices. This definitely works. I have had 50% reduction after 4th week. Remaining hair grows in slower and softer. Well made quality product. Not painful. You feel something but not as bad as a rubber band as some people describe with other devices. I have had laser with numbing cream and this is less painful and without numbing cream.

I used it for 12 weeks in a row like the directions said. It's a process so clear your schedules on Sunday afternoons. First I would shave everything I was going to use the smooth skin gold on which was from under my jawline, all the way down to the man parts with a regular razor I would shave my face with. Then I would shower to get all the hair and shaving cream off. Then I would get out and dry off. Once I was completely dried I would use the product. You have to use it like a grid on your body so it takes a very long time. I even would hit the same spot two or three times in a row to get better results. On my neck under my chin area would be the more painful area. Once I was finally done I would hop back in the shower again lather up with soap and rinse, otherwise you will smell like burnt skin the rest of the day. After 12 weeks in a row of using this product I decided to call the company which is in the UK which was a toll free phone number. I asked if maybe I'm not seeing the results that I should be is maybe because some of the results happen weeks or months after using the product since our body hair grows in phases. I couldn't get a response on that, so the woman just told me to take a break for a week and then go back to doing it. I did and this morning was now my 13th week of using it. It's very frustrating knowing that I paid a lot of money for a product that didn't give the results that it said it would, dealing with the pain, and the fact that I have already wasted 32.5 hours of my time doing it on my Sundays off is infuriating. I would say on my chest and stomach there is about a 50% reduction in hair. On my neck underneath the jawline there is about a 5-10% reduction in hair. If any guys are wondering about the man parts, it doesn't do anyting down there mainly because there's a sensor on the unit and if the skin is a little bit darker and flat it won't give out a higher pulse or work at all which is fine since it's not intended for that anyway. With all that said, now my chest and stomach are very patchy and I have to go on a vacation in the Caribbean in a month so after all this I'm going to have to shave anyways. So, do I keep using this product and wasting two and a half hours of my day off every Sunday hoping that it will get rid of the rest of the hair in the next few weeks which I highly highly doubt, or just have to suck it up and shave every so often which is a pain and makes me break out.

Great job by this device. I used it on my face and neck. I am not Caucasian. My skin tone is olive, with black hair. It has worked wonderfully in really slowing down the hair growth. I hardly see a lot of them growing back. It did cause lil bit of redness and splotchiness on my face. So cut one star. It is a great product and worth the $$$. I was stuck with silkn product for long time, which was not effective.

Unfortunately I haven’t seen any reduction of hair in my underarms 3 weekly treatments so far not in gentle mode. I will say this- your hair grows back slower than just shaving but that makes sense because it burns the hair when your passing this through. I’ve used this on my legs and face as well and giving three stars because while it hasn’t done what I wanted it did have a good effect on my face... I have rosacea and it seems to have calmed it a bit which is great! The IPL it’s self was not painful you actually get used to it the test spots I did were what hurt but went away very quickly. FYI I have medium skin tone and black hair the IPL would light up to 6 dots on my legs the lightest area at the very top was 8 out of 10. So 3 stars for me because I think every product works with different people this one just not for me. This is my first time trying an IPL treatment and I do have to point out I have very thick/course hair.

I’ve been using this semi-regularly for about 3 months and I can say that it definitely works. You have to be patient, and obviously the more regularly you use it (not more often than they recommend, obviously - for safety reasons), the faster you’ll see results.It’s incredibly easy to use - you literally plug it in, turn it on, and hold down a button while moving around the area you want to treat. You can adjust the intensity settings, but for me, even the highest setting was completely bearable - not even like a rubber band snap… much less uncomfortable. (Having said that, I’m sure there are some more sensitive places - only those described in the book as being ok to treat - where you’d want to reduce the intensity.)Unlike older laser/light-based hair reduction devices, this one doesn’t burn your skin or leave you bright red - which is great… except that you can’t easily tell where you’ve treated and where you haven’t. Just pay attention and move in straight lines, moving over an inch or so with the next pass and you’ll be good to go.After using it for 3 months as instructed, maybe stretching out the time between sessions a bit, I’ve reduced hair in the area by at least 50% - which to me is great, especially since you can do it at home - and it’s WAY cheaper than a salon.One note about the “for men” thing: it’s ridiculous. The only difference between this one and a “women’s” version is the color. (That being said, I much prefer black vs. white, so I actually like the way it looks.)
