I usually only purchase OEM Yamaha parts but I needed to get back on the water quickly and this was my quick solution.I had planned to purchase an OEM part at my leisure but somehow never got around to it. I've had this installed for 2 years now and it appears to be working perfectly so I think that I'll just leave it be.Be sure to check your primary power connections for corrosion and loose fasteners at both the battery and the engine side. A loose or faulty connection appears to be the primary reason that these fry.
