Life-changing & even my teenage daughter likes them!
I LOVE the sensual hi-waist bikini Modibodi style. They are so comfortable, I prefer to wear them every day. But, be careful with the sizing as the company is Australian and currently struggling to communicate the sizes correctly to US customers. The built-in pad absorbs menstruation, bladder leaks, and perspiration perfectly and keeps 100% of moisture and odors from seeping through; the main fabric wicks perspiration well. The merino crotch lining and the main fabric from bamboo are extremely soft and cause no allergies or irritation for my daughter or me, even though we both have very sensitive skin and lots of allergies (including to many hypoallergenic and sensitive skin products), and my daughter has eczema. Merino is a very special type of wool that’s much softer than most wool and hypoallergenic.I’m completely sold on leakproof panties for my periods and mild but frequent bladder leakage (dribbles and little bursts from sneezes and laughs), especially the Modibodi brand! I even got my 13-year-old daughter to like them for her periods, eventually. At first she thought “gross!” & “weird” - understandable since people in our Midwestern city don’t seem to have heard much about, let alone embraced, leakproof undies yet. And since the companies which sell disposable products provide the information used in her school health presentations and are what she sees advertised and in stores. It does sound strange to think of having that discharge next to your body all day, but these actually wick away the discharge and keep the odor locked in better than pads, and the moisture dissipates as vapor into the air so they work all day long. Just change them each morning and/or night like you would any other underwear. They’re much softer on my delicate tissue than pads and are of course better for the environment. One pair of light absorbency will take the place of pantiliners up to 24 hours, if you would need to change the liners no more than every 4 hours, for light days of periods, light bladder leaks, or for backup with tampons/menstrual cups. Use moderate absorbency if you would need to change a maxi pad every 4 to 6 hours during the day, or heavy/overnight for a higher flow or while sleeping with moderate flow for a larger coverage area when laying down.During volleyball season when wearing skin-hugging spandex shorts day after day, my daughter found how great Modibodi work (with tampons, and alone all day/night during really light flow); they don’t look or feel as lumpy as pads under tight leggings or spandex shorts, and they stop the problems women often experience with pads getting out of place or bunched up, especially during sports. Also she loves them for sleeping in during light days of her period; they’re great during sleepovers. Many pairs of underwear are uncomfortable for me due to my specific cheek shape/position, hating when undies don’t fully cover or ride up, yet needing my clothes to be comfortably loose, including any elastic & spandex. (I have damage to my spinal cord which makes many sensations quite painful to me though they feel fine to a normal person.) I have never before liked underwear with a high waist; always wore bikinis or hipsters. In fact, I only ordered this style originally because it was the only one available in my size with a moderate absorbency level when I first learned about this brand in 2016. The separate sizes for each dress/pant size means the undies are perfectly tailored to your size, and the wide lace waistband feels less snug than other waistbands (I’ve found this true across brands with wide lace waistbands) so the elastic isn’t the slightest bit uncomfortable even for my hypersensitive body and chubby belly, and yet the panties stay in place under my cheeks. I have ordered many more pairs of this style, mostly in the low absorbency level like this pair, because they are the best underwear I’ve ever worn.Note: This style comes up higher on my abdomen than in some photos, to a couple inches below my belly button, probably due to my short torso combined with my overweight, middle-age-mom body. Yet, they don’t look or feel like granny pants; similar to some hipsters with a flattering high-leg cut in front & full coverage in back. The color in real life looks quite similar to how it appears on my phone slightly bluer and grayer/muddier in real life – slightly more purple and bright on my iPhone. It’s a decent change from black, but I would definitely also like some light shades to wear under light colored outfits, champagne/latte/pale peach/ivory.I first wore the high waist on a hot evening, over 90°F & humid with no breeze, and walked my dog while also dealing with a separate stressful situation. Any of my “regular” underwear, whether cotton or various types of microfiber, would've become uncomfortably damp from sweat from just one of these factors or my occasional hot flashes, and the combination of these sweat-inducers would've made my usual underwear so damp I would've changed into a dry pair as soon as I entered my house. After walking the dog, I was astonished to find I had no need to change into a dry pair because these felt dry and comfortable. The pairs I’ve had for a year are holding up well. Do follow the washing instructions - no fabric softener (prevents the moisture-absorbent panel from absorbing; if you make a mistake, wash again before wearing on a day that you need them to absorb), keep out of the dryer (to prevent shrinkage and to extend life of the elastic), pre-rinse if more than a few drops of blood. Hint: Put your dirty pairs directly into a zippered lingerie bag each night to make it easy to keep them out of the dryer, and to protect the lace from catching on other clothes.********Size info********currently on Amazon some styles are showing only the Australian sizes; other styles are posting some version of US sizing which isn’t correct in many cases, along with the Australian size. They used to have charts which listed hip measurements and conversion from US pants/dress size; in trying to make it easier for US customers, currently they’ve made it much more difficult. Until they straighten this out, here’s how to find your Modibodi size if you’re a US Customer:Start with your pants size (or the dress size that fits your hips best) in regular US misses sizes (not petite) and add 4 to that number. If you only know your size in petites, go down 1 pant size before adding 4, as most petite pants & dresses are about 1 dress size smaller around, not just shorter in length. If you wear plus sizes, take your “women’s” dress size and add 6. For instance, in US pants/shorts I wear 12 or 14 (mostly 14), or large to XL; (or 14 to 16 or XL petites); sometimes a plus size 0X or 14W fits well.12 to 14 + 4 = 16 to 18. Sizes 16 & 18 both fit me perfectly in this Modibodi style; in the sensual boyshorts style the 16’s are best as the 18’s ride up a bit. Many US undies, including Victoria’s Secret and Jockey, run very small for my daughter and me, based on our measurements in inches as well as relative to our sizes in pants; we both have a broad pelvic bone, somewhat low rump with fullness at the sides; I have a chubby belly, while she has a 100% toned athletic abdomen with a very curvy rump. Jockey bikinis and hipsters always fit me well if I went 1-2 sizes up. My daughter has a very flat belly and shapely rump, is 5’7”, with large bones and an athletic + shapely build (very broad shoulders with well-developed muscles, a wide pelvis bone, and curvy hips). A 6 in US pants/shorts fits her waist best, but she usually needs 8 to 10 for her hips except in super stretchy jeggings; she wears medium in leggings, spandex shorts, Aerie undies, and Nike & Under Armor running shorts. Since she’s not quite 14 years old, I sized up for growing room; to Australian size 14 (= US 10), in the sensual boyshorts and classic bikini which both fit great, but she could have comfortably gone with 12 (= US 8). She hasn’t tried this style. A relative of mine who wears US size 2X, 20W, (and has a flatter rear without the broad hips) wears Modibodi size 26.

The best. I'm serious. THE BEST
I know I'm not the only mom who never did quite enough kegels. These undies are a perfect solution. I've tried a few brands now, and these are the best. ModiBodi are made of really soft and comfy fabric, inside and out. The lace is wonderful proof highly functional things can still be pretty. They never smell. They never bunch or ride up. They don't have a weird panty line. You honestly forget they're any different than purely pretty undies, except when you sneeze and you are ever so thankful you're wearing ModiBodi. :)

Worth the investment!
Absolutely love these period panties! I wish these existed when I first hit puberty -- the security in knowing you've got time to handle things without dreading "the leak" is so priceless.I actually have several pairs of sensual hi-waist bikinis, and I love being able to use them on light flow days when I would have used a pad or pantiliner. I also wear them while using tampons on heavier flow days, again instead of using a pad or pantiliner as my backup. These just feel so much nicer than a pad! Even ultra thin pads are so uncomfortable playing sports, and now I can wear these! I also feel better about contributing less waste to the environment...and yes, these are a bit of an investment up front compared to buying a pack of pads, but I can keep washing and wearing these and I think I'll recover the costs in no time at all. And I adore the lace on the top...instead of wearing my oldest and most beat up panties during my period, I'm wearing something that makes me feel sexy! I have not yet braved wearing them overnight but there is a heavy absorbency that I hope to try soon!Sizing can be a little tricky as this is an Australian company. I wear a US pant size 10 or 12 normally (just depends on the brand!), and I ended up fitting both an Australian size 14 and 16 panty -- one's a little snug and the other's a little loose, but neither to a bothersome point. I had figured this out by the time I purchased through Amazon, so the size 16 I ordered fit me exactly as I expected it to!

It’s a bit jig on me but I’m pretty small. 33in hips 24in waist
It’s a bit big on me but I’m pretty small. 33in hips 24in waist. I saw the sizing and knew it would be somewhat big but not too big where it doesn’t fit. Im comparing this to the thinx and they work fine. Only difference is that the padding on thinx is much thinner and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing pads. This one is more padded and you can feel it a bit. But significantly cheaper than thinx. I like them and will probably buy again. They work well enough for me to use only this and no cups or anything. But I have a light period anyway.

These period panties are really comfortable, and look just like the product photos. I've had them for over a year now, and they survive the washing machine pretty well. They've saved many a pair of pants or skirts from unlucky leaks. I can't say how they'd compare to THINX but they do the trick!

FELL APART IMMEDIATELY.
The very first time I put them on, my thumb went through the seam between the lace and the panty, it not sown on very well and had 'holes' in several places. They were comfortable so I ignored it despite questioning the quality at that point. Literally the second time I washed them, the thin, cheap material at the 'groin' of the panty shredded them, leaving them to be expensive garbage I had only worn twice. A complete waste of money.

who knows
Chose the size I did because I've got regular everyday underwear in size 10 that fits beautifully. These barely made it up my legs and I'd have to lose about 25 lbs for these to fit tightly over my belly and butt. So since I can't even dream of wearing them, have no idea of how well they do their job!

I love these panties
I bought two sizes larger than I normally would (based on other reviews), and they fit perfectly! I love these panties. Use them on light days, and with tampon on heavier days. Hope amazon stocks some heavy flow ones also...
