The soles came unglued after 8 months and the company won't do anything about it, that's what happens when they send products to China for a bigger profit, the quality goes downhill. This was my 3rd and final pair. I'll pay a little more for a Made in the USA quality product but it sure won't be with this company..

Perfect fit and durable
I've had more than eight pairs of Five Ten Camp Fours, and I buy back-up pairs as often as I can afford to. These shoes fit my feet perfectly, and have excellent grip for hiking, scrambling and approach. Most of the pairs I've had are the previous design. These included a more rounded sole which was great for scrambling and low grade climbing. I was a bit worried that the new design would mean compromising the benefits of the previous design. For low grade climbing, I would say yes. The rubber toe cover is is a good and important feature that is retained and protects when the shoe and your foot on rocky terrain. The new design is more suited for hiking with some scrambling. A weakness of the previous design was that the soles tended to separate after high miles, and the leather had a weak point that separated. I'm expecting that the newer design will be more durable.

Not as good and definately different to the old CampFour
After a week of wearing them I'd say they are ok, but not as good as the previous CampFour model. The changes to the lacing mean you have no control of how the shoe holds your lower foot and toes. They are also a wider fit in the front of the shoe. I bought these based on trust because the previous CampFour was the greatest shoe I've ever owned (I had 3 pairs). At the back of my mind I knew the changes to the lacing was a mistake, but bought them anyway. If I'd tried them on in a shop, I probably wouldn't have bought them.My advise would be: Dont order these online, make sure you try them on first. They are different. They're a good shoe, but not as good as the old model

Fivetens never fail
These are great canyoning or hiking shoes!! My husband loves them, and so do I.. perfect grip! My husband got size 10.. he’s 91/2.. fit a little bigger than the old version of the fivetens.. all the fivetens my husband has had have lasted him like 4-5months, but he takes the juice out of them! Rarely takes them off..totally love them!! Plus they arrived super fast.. totally recommend

Poor manufacturing standards; don’t buy
As an avid hiker, I initially thought highly of this hiking shoe. It provided excellent traction, it did well on different terrain (hard packed dirt, mud, shale, etc.) & was comfortable as far as hiking footwear. But then things literally fell apart. After roughly a year of use, the sole of the shoe delaminated from the rest of the shoe (see attached photo) mid hike. Fortunately this happened on a day hike & I was reasonably close to my car. If I had been in the middle of a week long backpacking trip, I would have been screwed. I’m disappointed that a pair of $100+ hiking shoe has such poor construction & lack of durability. Five ten please work with Adidas and improve your manufacturing standards.

Super Tacky, Phenominal Approaches
Absolutely beautiful pair of shoes. I cannot recommend them more, and I cannot thank 5/10 enough. Bought these right before my Mt.Whitney climb and broke them in on a Crystal Crag climb. Performance was outstanding on both cragging and the East Face of Mt.Whitney. The rubber is SUPER tacky and the smearing is absolutely confidence inspiring. Over a course of 1 week I hiked approximately 30 miles and ascended roughly 3,200 feet on 2 different locations with these. East Face at Mt.Whitney was a below freezing climb and the rubber still performed phenomenal. My friend had the Guide Tennies which performed well also which are geared more towards edging than smearing.

Do not buy!!
These were delivered to me on July 3, 2018 and out of the box the fit was great!I am an avid hiker and I hiked in these daily as well as using them for mowing, and all around daily use.To my sad surprise, they started to delaminate around the toe box of my right shoe. So of course I tried to contact the company, but of course they had no recourse, except sorry, no refund! :(I tryied to glue them with Gorilla Glue, which lasted about a week before it started to delaminate again. So bottom line is they fit great, but are of ridiculously poor construction!

The special compound soles provide better traction on wet and ice than any other shoe ...
I owned a pair of these for 8+ years with regular use until I wore a hole in the sole. The special compound soles provide better traction on wet and ice than any other shoe I've owned. Was on sale for a great price and I kick myself for not buying two pairs at the time.

A Great Buy
Took a chance with a brand which I'd never heard of. It paid off. This shoe is the best that I've ever used. Bags of grip, some but not too much support in the right places. Extremely comfortable from the start. Haven't really tested the weather proofing yet, but the design looks sensible enough to resist at least moderate rain, let's hope so.
