Great strong kettle!
The kettle is exactly as described - sturdy! The surgical steel looks strong and shiny, and also doesn't look like it will rust or stain easily. The logo doesn't bother me as you can't even see it so much because the rest of the kettle is super shiny and pretty. I like that the design is kind of old school, but it still looks contemporary. After testing it out, the water boiled fairly quickly, the whistle was loud enough to hear in the whole house (good for when you forget the kettle is on the stove and you don't want to burn down the house, lol), and the rubber handles didn't get hot and were just right to touch/grab and pour some water. The spout is wide for easy pouring. I really like this kettle, it is totally worth the money. I can already tell with proper care it will last for a long time.

Nice looking kettle that works well
Looks nice on my stovetop, and functions well. It holds a generous amount of water, which is handy for when my kids and I want hot tea and oatmeal all at the same time in the morning. It heats quickly, and the whistle is adequately loud to alert us when the water has reached boiling temperature. If I turn the heat off, pour a cup of tea, and put the kettle back on the stovetop, the water stays hot for a while, but the whistle does not continue to make noise, which is nice. The handle is comfortable to hold and doesn't seem to heat up even when the water is boiling vigorously. So far (after only a few weeks of use) the trigger to open the spout is easy to use and works cleanly.

This kettle is a little heavier than most and feels sturdy. The whistle is loud and doesn't have any ...
While replacing a very old tea kettle, I've come to realize that "stainless steel" doesn't mean NO RUST anymore. After returning a couple of kettles because they rusted within a month. I also learned that I was expected to wash and dry my kettle after every use which I hadn't had to do with my very old kettle and which is not practical for someone who drinks tea a few times a day. This time I paid attention to any mention of rust in reviews. To my surprise, rust in STAINLESS STEEL kettles was a very common complain. This kettle is made of surgical steel and has a lifetime warranty. I have had it for 3 weeks now and there are no sign of rust. The kettle is 2.75 QT which is a convenient size. This kettle is a little heavier than most and feels sturdy. The whistle is loud and doesn't have any plastic parts. It is always in the on position the knob under the handle is lifted in order to pour water. If you turn off the kettle as soon as the water boils, the handle doesn't get hot. The lid is large enough to make cleaning inside easy. The top of the spout higher than the lid so the water doesn't overboil even when the kettle is quite full. As the result in order to empty it completely, the kettle has to be tilted about 135 degrees. Because of its shape it will not be emptied completely through the top when it's turned upside down. The kettle has a seam along the bottom and that's in my experience rust stains appear first but so far the interior is clean and shiny. The box says that kettle has a limited lifetime warranty and I hope I'll never have to find out if it includes rust. Also there are no special care instructions so I am assuming that drying the kettle after every use is not necessary as it was the case with my original kettle.

A bit weighty and no catch to hold the spout open as you pour. Otherwise really brilliant and WELL worth the money!!
As far as this kettle is concerned, it is just brilliant! IF I could have wished for anything else it would be that it might be lighter in weight and a little easier to pour from. This is because of my age I guess...it is heavy, and I could handle that if my fingers worked as well as they used to :-).That said, the kettle is really beautiful and beautifully made. Arrived on time and since I use it almost every day for one thing or another, just in time!!Just bear in mind, this kettle is very sturdy and is a bit weighty. The trigger to open the spout has to be held while pouring, it doesn't have a catch that will hold the spout open. If these won't be an issue for you, you couldn't ask for a better kettle.

Mixed results
Mine is a few years old. Its shape allows water to be boiled quickly. It pours fine with little risk of getting burned. However, the exterior finish does not hold up as well as I would hope.

Solid, attractive whistler
This was selected for its medium capacity, its shape, its overall look and - especially - the materials used. I have high expectations that this will not rust and will downgrade this review if it does. Everything works as advertised and seems durable. The stationary handle makes filling a little trickier, but not difficult at all. The empty kettle weighs in at 3 pounds.(!) The whistle is loud (a plus, for me) and the nozzle first steams then whistles softly. There are a couple of small flaws in the very shiny finish - no one but me will notice them.

Highly functional AND gorgeous
Yes, it's a little heavy. Yeah, I suppose it might be nice if the spout were a bit longer. And, it's impossible to get all the water out without handling the bottom of the kettle. All these things are true. But I LOVE this thing. It is gorgeous. It heats-up super fast. There are no non-stainless steel nuts on the bottom of the lid like someone else suggested here. As something that sits out in my kitchen all the time, I'm happy to have it add to the aesthetics, not detract from it.

2 Reasons why you might hate this tea pot
Here're the problems with this tea pot, and why I wish I hadn't wasted my money on it: 1.) When you squeeze the handle to open it, the handle mechanism tends to pop out of the lid covering the spout. Then you have to reinsert it manually. Careful, it's hot! You could probably train yourself to go easy on the opening and just adjust yourself to this design flaw, but in addition to that annoyance, the biggest reason I wish I hadn't bought this is that, 2.) there is no way to leave the lid over the spout open. The way my wife does hot water is she tends to let it stay hot on the stove for a while, and sometimes even let it boil. But that means it's whistling the whole time, which ain't cutting it. This is not something she can use. I paid about double or triple to get her a nice one, but the cheap ones work better. And it was a birthday gift that I bought early, and Amazon declares it's too late to send it back. Sorry for all the complaining! It's just a tea pot! But if you use a tea pot the way my wife does, you won't like this one. I am going to buy her another brand and model. This was a disappointment.
