Everything I loved about the T4 with the bonus of better bass and no audio lag watching videos
This is my review for the Bluedio T4S (Turbine) Active Noise Cancelling Over-ear Swiveling Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Mic (Black)SummaryI am a big fan of Bluedio headphones and currently own (including the T4s) 5 different pairs. These are the Turbine T2s, Revolution R2, Turbine T4, Turbine T4s and Victory Pro.This will eventually expand further as I intend to buy the Vinyl Plus.Given the selection I have at my disposal I was able to compare the T4s with Bluedio offerings that span price points and features and will have a few notes in the review below.Since the Turbine T4s share many of the same features and qualities of the Turbine T4 much of this review contains similar information and format. However information that relates specifically to the Turbine T4s will be clearly noted. Now you may be asking why, if I love the T4 so much, I purchased and am reviewing the Bluedio T4s. The reason is very simple, my son claimed the T4 for himself :)In truth he needed a new pair of headphones and being in college the environments he will be in vary in how noisy they can be, so I offered him the T4 as the ANC would make sure he could isolate the outside sound and focus on his study with his favorite music providing the background and reducing the distractions. The short version of this review is that the Bluedio T4s with ANC takes everything I love about the Turbine T4 and addresses the few shortcomings I noted in my Turbine T4 review.ANC works as described and is a real value add for listening in a noisy environment. I did notice that with the Turbine T4s the soundstage and dynamic range is less compressed than on the Turbine T4 with ANC enabled. There is still some compression but this is to be expected from any headphones that use active means to cancel outside noise.Video watching while wireless has been fixed in the Turbine T4s and is no longer and isssue. So the questions for me with regards to the Turbine T4s are; am I keeping them, where do they fit in my current headphone line up and would I recommend them. The answers are that yes I am keeping them, unless my oldest son claims them ;)I find the improved overall sound quality and ANC usefulness justify the price and make these a good choice for ‘daily driver’ headphones. As in my Turbine T4 review, I would say that in my current line up of headphones these will be my go to pair for most of my general music listening and use away from home.I will still rely on my Bluedio Victory Pro headphones when I want uncompromised sound quality when listening in a controlled environment.I would easily recommend these to anyone who wants a great sounding pair of bluetooth headphones with the added bonus of ANC when you need it. It is a win-win situation. Now for a more detailed look at what makes these headphones a winner for me and how I judged them.Packaging- very nice presentation- packaged securely- a place for each item- magnetic flap closure for box a nice touchConstruction- plentiful use of metal in construction- feels sturdy without being heavy- joints and pivot points do not feel they will break- the buttons are improved from the T4 with less wiggle and more tactile feedback- usb-c Jack a nice touch as it prevents damage to port by forcing plug in incorrectly as can happen with micro USB- band and ear-cup material of good quality with ample paddingComfort- easily adjusted to a snug comfortable fit- for me these are over ear headphones but fit may be different for those with larger head or earspadding very comfortable and did not get too hot with extended useear cups provide a nice bit of passive noise reduction due to the thickness of the padding and the seal it provides over the earsEase of Use- paired easily and on first try (tested on several devices)- buttons in easy to reach positions and provide good tactile feedback- charging worked as expected and was able to change from laptop and generic USB charger without problemsBluetooth Quality- as noted earlier pairing was quick and easy on devices running IOS, Mac Os, Windows 10 and android (Android 6.0.1 on my LeEco S3)- range is excellent I was able to leave my iPad Pro 9.7 playing and was able to walk into any room in my house, both upstairs and downstairs without losing the connection. by for the best range of any bluetooth device I own, including my Bluedio Victory Pro very surprised and pleasedI am pleased to say the the delay in audio when watching video has been fixed in the Turbine T4sSound Quality in Normal mode- listened to different genre(classical, pop, rock, jazz and hip-hop)- my usual music taste is leans toward music with multiple and complex layers of sound preferring highs and vocals over exaggerated bass- overall sound profile tends toward a balanced sound without overly reshaping the response to allow the original engineering of the music to come through- slightly favors highs in classical music- vocals clean but depending on the type of music you prefer may seem muddy I noticed this on more modern pop tracks than classic rock or metal (for example) and may simply be an difference in how the original was recorded and mixedthe Turbine T4s has improved on the T4 as bass is more present, pleasing and is what I tend to call appropriate. but these are not bass-head headphones. think of them more as studio headphones, reproducing the sound the way it was recorded in a more pure form- could easily recommend for classical, jazz and classic rock listening- volume was able to reach levels high enough that I personally found uncomfortable when set above 50%Sound Quality in ANC mode- ANC still reduces the dynamic range of the music but is much improved in the Turbine T4s over the T4- mids and vocals are given more emphasis while highs and bass are somewhat compressed- however after using ANC on and off in conditions where noise cancellation is needed I found the ranges I was missing with ANL on were ones I was not able to hear any way in noisy environments so I would recommend not using a quiet environment as a far judgement of sound quality in ANC mode- taken in context of where ANC should be used I find the T4 sound quality far better than cranking up the volume on other headphones to try to overcome noisy environmentsused ANC successfully while riding in a car (was not the driver), at my favorite Starbucks and to block out noisy gaming sessions of my son with his online friends- can definitely say I appreciate having ANC once I used it where it was designed to be used and judged them in that contextstill would not using ANC in quiet listening environments (i.e. inside the home with normal background noise or library) for those places the passive sound isolation provided by the ear cups are good enough and preserve the improved sound quality and dynamic range of the Turbine T4s** One thing I discovered is that on iOS devices if you select the Hip-Hop EQ setting for Apple Music almost the entire dynamic range from Normal mode is restored and the unwanted noise is still reduced!Compared to other headphones I haveBluedio T2s Turbine- T4s sound much cleaner and balanced- T4s has wider sound stage- T2s and T4s now are close to having the same level and punch in bass- T4s far more comfortable for extended useBluedio T4 Turbine- T4s better balanced sound with more clarity in highs and present bass- T4s better at producing clean bass- T4s seems to have slightly better battery life than the T4Bluedio Victory Pro (the gold standard for Bluetooth headphones)- the V Pro are my favorite bluetooth headphone, andI have found nothing that can best them and the T4 are no exception. But it must be remembered the Victory Pro cost 4x of the T4 and have 12 drivers- V far more and cleaner bass. with the ability to go to head thumping levels with the builtin EQ- V produces crisp highs without being ear bleeding levels- T4 better battery life- T4 slightly better at mid ranges; the sound being cleaner and less muffledShould you upgrade from the Turbine T4 to the Turbine T4sSound quality is can be a subjective thing. Each person has their own feeling for how their music should sound and individual music taste.I have tried to get a feel for how the Turbine T4s performs in comparison to the Turbine T4 by using a wide range of music. Both models provide a great listening experience in normal mode with the Turbine T4s having a slight edge in soundstage and even more of an edge in bass reproduction. In ANC mode the Turbine T4s are clearly better at controlling how much compression of the dynamic range of frequencies is needed to cancel out unwanted noise. Also watching video while listening wirelessly are of high importance then the Turbine T4s are the clear winner as the delay issues of the Turbine T4 has been eliminated.

Great improvement over the previous T4 headphones
Great improvement over the previous T4 headphones. The sound is really great.. low & clean bass, crystal clears highs, and good mids. Battery life is more than enough and they're pretty comfortable too!

For listening only, not talking
The headphones are fantastic for listening and terrible for talking.Yes, I know that headphones are first and foremost for enjoying music, watching movies, and other activities related to listening. But these headphones include a mic for phone calls, which is part of why I purchased them. Unfortunately, that functionality is a bust. According to whoever I'm calling, I sound like I'm underwater or at the bottom of a well. I called my voicemail and left myself a message to confirm it. The call quality is just the worst. As headphones, they sound lovely. The Turbines have lots of bass, but not overpowering, and nice clear vocals. The noise cancellation is decent, but not awesome. However, the cans offer enough passive noise isolation by themselves that they can block most bothersome background noise. The build quality of the Turbines is excellent. They look and feel like premium items from the moment you open the box. The headphones fit well and are very comfortable for short periods of time. However, I wear glasses, and the pressure that the headphones applied to my glasses' earpieces gave me quite a headache after a few hours of listening. Also, they aren't super-portable. The headphone cups rotate flat, but that's the only concession to making them portable. To summarize: If you just want headphones, and you don't wear glasses, the Bluedio Turbine T4S is a good buy. Not stellar, but a good value for the money. However, if you want to be able to use them for phone calls, buy something else. Buy anything else, because these headphones aren't meant for talking.UPDATE: Bluedio offered to refund my purchase and allow me to keep the headphones. I have passed the T4S Turbines to my daughter, who doesn't need the microphone at all. She's very pleased with them. I'm going to keep my rating of three stars, because the ability to make phone calls is important to me.However, I have to add that Bluedio's customer service has been truly exceptional. They contacted me almost immediately after I posted my review, and they were very persistent in their efforts to fix the problem. When it became clear that I just wanted a refund, Bluedio accommodated my request promptly. I would gladly buy another Bluedio product.

How they fit
I read all 281 reviews and I'm totally amazed how people say they don't fit right, but don't own a tape measure to measure the inside diameter of the ear cup, so others can determine if its for them or not. I'm a numbers guy! Therefore I will tell potential buyers the inner diameter is 2 inches. These are NOT over the ear unless your an infant or midget. You still couldn't wear them because they are heavy.Bluedio, this is for you. Do you have anyone working there that has round ears. If you do, please post pictures or email me. These things made my ears sore after 10 minutes. I also blame you for not giving inside ear measurements. This is poor marketing! Now your company wasted my time & Amazons time because I'm sending them back. These things are garbage!Avantree Audition Pro line is the only company that gives inside ear cup dimensions on Amazon. I have read hundreds of specs. My ears are 3.25" tall, 1.75" wide. 2" round doesn't cut it for me! These are extremely uncomfortable! I bought a lightweight pair of on ear JLabs at Walmart that sounds 3x better than these with 1/3 the weight, for $20 bucks. If you wear glasses like I do, these put alot of pressure on your ears pushing the glasses earpiece into your head. I cannot emphasize enough how much I hate these headphones.......
