Quality all copper-conductor speaker cable--would buy again
Nearly perfect for my needs. This is one of the few quality speaker wires available with ACTUAL copper conductors (instead of copper-clad aluminum conductors). Copper is superior (conductance per unit of cross section, flexibility, ability to be soldered) in all but cost. The only downside for me is that the outer jacket is robust enough that it has a substantial total diameter making the wire runs a bit more conspicuous than I'd like. But this quality cabling won't let me or you down. Even suitable for direct burial--which I did not do.

Best wire I've used.
I'm a sparky and love my electronics. Especially car equipment. This, by far, is the best wire to use for larger stereo speakers. OFC or Oxygen Free Copper is very expensive. GearIT makes it less expensive but doesn't bring the quality down. I've used these wires in 18 gauge, 14 gauge and now 12 gauge. They hold a lot of voltage and will keep your music crystal clear! Definitely one of the best buys I've made here. 20 of 5. I would buy over and over, if needed. Extremely durable.

Outstanding.
First time I've made my own cables. Sound is just as good as with the expensive premade ones. Great price for OFC pure copper.

Tips and hints to prep this cable
Overall, this is a decent product that appears to be durable and rugged enough for most applications. My intent is to use the cable for outdoor venues where it can withstand water and dirt as some portion will be buried to avoid any tripping hazard. I bought the 14 gauge, 2 wire, 250’ brown PVC sheathed cable and cut it into (2) 90 foot sections and (2) 35 foot sections to drive a speaker array. Now, here are the tips that might help when prepping this cable! When stripping the sheath only LIGHTLY SCORE it as it’s super easy to cut into the inner cable’s insulation. After scoring, just bend the cable sharply at the score and it will crack open…keep working it until it separates. (You may have to use a small set of cutters to nip the last bit open.) Make sure the wire insulation didn’t get nicked. The cable coming off the small spool is wound very tightly and has a “memory” that immediately goes back to a tight coil once it comes off the spool. No amount of “unwinding”, pulling or cursing will get it to comply as a nice relaxed and straight cable.Next tip: APPLY HEAT.. OK, so how to do that? I took each coiled length individually and placed it on a large pizza pan, set the oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, then put in the oven for at least one hour. Longer cable lengths like the 90 foot sections take about 1-1/2 hours as there is a considerable mass to heat. The idea is to have the heat penetrate through the outer PVC jacket and heat the wires inside to the same temperature. Wear gloves when removing the wire from the oven and lay the cable out straight. Keep the gloves on! It’s not super hot but you’ll find that the cable is quite compliant, almost rubbery, and you can readily wrap it like a regular rubber jacketed speaker wire or ready it for install it in whatever application with ease. Hope this helps!
