Great LED lights. Tremendous value!
I got the 48" version for my 60" 110g freshwater tank.I'm really impressed with the quality and value of this light. The remote has a lot of nice features, color settings, clouds, and I like the bottom right button that cycles through various color spectrums. And the light "remembers" the last setting when turned on. So if you use a separate power timer, the light comes back on with the same setting it had when it turned off. I'd really like the manufacturer to offer a sequence memory, or a programmable timer though. I would love the ability to have the light start up in "dawn" mode, cycle through some other modes during the day, then "sunset", and turn off at night. Offer as an accessory/upgrade rather than a separate model, so I don't have to buy another one. :)The light itself is plenty bright on the "sunlight" setting. Perfect for fish only, and probably fine for many plants. But if you're doing a planted tank, you'll want to want to check to make sure output is sufficient. You may need to double up and get 2 lights. These lights are so slim, that it would be possible to get 2 or 3 rows of them on a single tank. For example, on my 60", I could easily get 3 of the 48" lights on top. I'd just have to move a light to open the canopy glass. Lights are not heavy, so it would be doable.Another plus of this light is that it is totally silent. No fans. My previous light had a cooling fan that was a bit annoying. So this light is perfect for a bedroom, or a quiet office in my case.Another cool feature is that the remotes are all the same. So if you have multiple lights, you just need one remote. It will control all of them at the same time. I guess if you wanted to control separate tank lights separately, you couldn't, unless you got the wired remote version. My only real nitpick is regarding the extension bars that slide out to fit wider tanks. My 48" light needed to fit a 60" tank, so I extended the sliders 6" on each side. It works well enough, but is a bit flimsy... a bit thicker than wire coat hanger type metal. Honestly though, once the light is in place, you don't really see or touch the extenders, so they are probably fine. Just not confidence inspiring. Not sure I'd trust them without a glass canopy under them. All in all, these are a tremendous value, and I highly recommend them over all but much more expensive lights.Happy fish keeping!

Very good fixture with some caveats
This is a great light in many respects. I'm leaving one star off because I'm finding battery issues with the remote. I'm not sure if the remote has a problem where the battery is slowly draining, but I'm finding the battery is run down quickly. Given you use the remote to turn the fixture on and off and there's no power button on the unit, you can imagine how this is an issue. Now on to the fixture. I have a fully planted 55 gallon tank and while I don't have some of the more difficult plants I find this light to be a perfect match for my needs. It doesn't have the strongest output and you wouldn't be able to grow carpeting plants in a tank with the depth of mine, but I believe for certain if your tank is shallow enough you can actually do so.This light is actually replacing a dual bulb T5HO fixture that based on the performance, I believe may have actually been too strong. I have mostly low to medium light requiring plants in the tank, but it includes swords, ludwigia, rotala, moss, bacopa, etc. I have not seen any drop off of growth rates after switching to this light fixture. The only thing that would put this over the top is to actually combine it with a timer that would allow a slow ramp up. It's my understanding that the Current single and dual ramp timers do this, but I've also seen conflicting information from Current's own site indicating that those timers should only be used with this fixture in the strict on/off fashion. What I would say is that the price is low enough that you could actually purchase 2 of these, which would allow you to grow much more challenging plants. You could mount the sensor for the remotes in the same location and 1 remote would work both fixtures.Overall, I am highly satisfied with this fixture. It provides enough light for the plants I have and I really like the ability to adjust the hue of the light.UPDATE 02/12/2015: The remote seems to have an issue with the battery dying quickly. I contacted Current-USA and they immediately sent me a replacement. Another plus for this product is you get very prompt and responsive support. Kudos to Current-USA!!!

Great product!
This product is easy to setup and use, and provides plenty of light, even for a planted tank. I used to run an older, cheaper LED plus a double fluorescent light. I have now changed to two of these units, which are cheaper to operate, way more flexible to configure in terms of setting tone, colour and brightness, plus can leverage other weather simulations. I'm very happy with this product (so much so that I now own two of them).

Did not last.
I purchased the larger light in 2019 and it’s now not working. For the price I’d think it would last longer than a few years.

Great customer service
I bought this light recently. I found it too dim, so contacted Current USA about the problem. They sent me a warranty replacement. The replacement light is a lot brighter. Great customer service. I will definitely buy from them again, if in need of another LED light.

I noticed that my plants were not growing as well ...
I noticed that my plants were not growing as well as they should be with just my aqueon light so I decided to use this light. Within a few weeks, my hydrophilic was bushy again and my crypts are growing!
