SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Series Case Designed for Galaxy Note 8, Premium Hybrid Protective Clear Case for Galaxy Note 8 2017 Release (Frost/Black)

First Impressions of the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle for the Galaxy Note 8: This case seems to be well-made. Although the description states that it's "Frost/Navy", it's really true to the photo in the listing and is more of a Royal Blue. But it's a nice color and I'm very happy with it. Probably happier than I would have been if it were a true navy blue tone. ALSO, the back of the case is a bit more frosted than what is shown in the listing photo. Pair that with the fact that the lettering on the back of my phone is darker than usual, and its barely visible through the frosted back of this case. The lettering is still visible, but just barely. Not a deal-breaker for me at all. The buttons protrude slightly from the sides, but not enough to be bothersome. And they function just fine. I've had other cases where you have to press the buttons REALLY HARD to get them to register, but these are very responsive with minimal effort. The fit is great and there are no gaps at all. The colored rubber edge is firm enough to hold close to the phone and doesn't look like it's going to end up getting sloppy or "puckering" away from the sides or top edge of the screen. It's even designed with a slightly raised lip to the top and bottom edges of the screen, so when your phone's face down on a table the screen doesn't touch. The cutouts are perfect and there are no issues at all with using the headphone jack, charging port, or getting the S-Pen in or out. It doesn't interfere with wireless charging at all based on my own testing. The edge isn't quite as "grippy" or "rubbery" as I was hoping, but it still feels really nice in the hand and is much more tactile than just holding the slippery phone by itself. The raised edges around the cutout on the back for the cameras and fingerprint scanner actually helps with guiding your finger into the right position to actually use the scanner, so that's a big plus as well. The only reason for the 4 stars is because I can't give 4.5, and the only reason I deducted anything is because it looks like it might start to effect the screen protector that I have installed as the case hugs tightly to the sides of the screen and actually touch the very edges of the screen protector on both sides. However, I could always trim the next screen protector ever-so-slightly on the sides before installing it to make sure that the two don't interfere with one another. I'll update this review in a few months after I've put this case through its paces, but for now i'd definitely recommend this case to anyone looking for some sleek and basic protection for their new Note8.

I'v pretty much purchased every color at this point. I had a Samsung Note 8 and used it for 2 years using this case. I've dropped it 100s of times on flat surfaces on it's face. I was always scared to look at it thinking the worse but every time it was fine. Last year I purchased the Note 9 and of course needed new case! So I got the purple one and have been using since. Still I would drop and think OMG my new phone only to turn it over and its still perfect. That all changed today. I was fixing some breakfast when I had my phone sitting on the counter next to me. I grabbed it and it slide out of my hand and did a little tumble, hit the stove handle all the while I was trying to grab onto it. Finish making breakfast sit down and see something on my phone. Thought no biggie I got food on it. Got done eating and started using my fingernail to scratch whatever was on my phone off but it wasn't coming off easily as it should. That's when I looked and noticed there was a ding in my phone and 2 hair line cracks coming from it. WTH! How did that happen? The only guess is the stovve handle. After all the drops and banging against other things my STOVE broke my phone! The sad part is it literally the edge of the screen were the screen and bevel meet. So now I've gotta spend $50 to get my screen repaired. It does beat getting a complete new one.

I got my Note 8 early on the 7th of sept. and while i love the feel of the phone i wanted a case to help protect the phone. I used SUPCASE before on my note 7 and loved the feel and look of it.The black sides have great grip so no worries of ever dropping your phone with this case. Note 8 just snaps in easy as pie. The sides dont interfear with the note's curved screen sides. The front lips of the phone is raised so when you turn your phone upsidedown and lay it on a table the screen doesnt touch the table. The Volume Bisby and Power button are wonderful no probles with them. Overall this is a AMAZING case for the note 8. Fits in my hand perfect, ** I Have BIG Hands** and i can use this phone with one hand no worries of dropping. The case makes using the Finger print sensor on the back way way easier now as you just put ir finger in the right side of the camera opening so no more smudging the camer lens which before the case i had issue doing.I Am Also using Galaxy Note 8 Screen Protector (Case Friendly)(2-Pack), IQ Shield LiQuidSkin Full Coverage Screen Protector for Galaxy Note 8 HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film  Galaxy Note 8 Screen Protector (Case Friendly)(2-Pack), IQ Shield LiQuidSkin Full Coverage Screen Protector for Galaxy Note 8 HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film  To protect the screen, These two works prefectly with each other. I payed 20 bucks for both so way worth the protection for the note 8.

I am very happy with this case and I feel that it sufficiently protects my Note8. I'd absolutely recommend this for any other Note8 users.The only thing that I've run into which I don't love is that when you try to clean the inside of the case there is a soft lining around the camera opening and I don't know exactly how to describe it but the material it's made out of kind of breaks apart and leaves lint throughout the inside of the case. This only bothers me because the case is clear and it's avoidable by not touching the lining.I have the pink version and it does seem to pick up some of the blue dye from my jeans when I have it in my back pocket. I don't think that takes away from this case's value for the price because it does clean off and I've noticed this with other cases in the past.For anyone wondering this case works perfectly with the Whitestone dome glass protector.

This was the fastest available case as my Note8 arrived very early. I like this case, it feels adequate, but I think I'll still get the Supcase heavy armor addition with front protection once it's available to ship. We have been using Supcase for the last year because they're awesome and reasonably priced compared to the pricier cases that start with O

Perfect. Bought it for my first ever curved edge screen phone. Was conscious that some cases may leave the edges exposed to damage if I dropped it. This case still allows me to easily reach the screen edge whilst remaining protective. Main feature for me is that part of the case that covers the top and bottom of the phone is raised so that even if i drop my phone and it lands face down (which has happened many times) the screen itself never takes the impact.

After having the case for a couple of weeks now I've realized two main problems with it. One, it wobbles on a flat surface as the centre bit on the back is slightly raised. And two, it's not built very well; my case is starting to separate along the line between the clear plastic and the black plastic meaning that it doesn't grip y phone as hard.

Good quality case, had the same on my S7 hence the reason I've bought it for my Note 8.
